So with 9- 10 miles with flat terrains you get at least 20-30 min ride. :/

Out of the mouths of babes. I believe with the kids said. I have never owned a levy but the thing that makes me suspicious about the company is that the range is so short. It's like they're trying to obligate you into buying the extra battery. All I need to know about this company is what the kids said and the fact that they give you no range on that scooter. I personally would never buy this scooter.

I bought this scooter a week before you uploaded this review and I can say your problem is not an isolated case. The weather is getting significantly warmer recently and my commute involves a lot of hillclimbing. The Levy is actually very fast in the first few minutes of riding but after a while it goes into 'limp mode' that severely reduces its power. I weight 165 lbs and the scooter completely refuses to go up the 10% gradient as claimed. Your comments about the laggy throttle is also right. The first unit they sent me had a completely broken throttle that never goes to the rated power. The second unit also was very laggy and would sometimes completely refuse to send power requiring a reboot of the scooter.
It does have two very good points. As you mentioned this thing is incredibly smooth even compared to similar scooters with 8.5-inch pneumatic tires. Even better, the tires are tubeless which makes them much more puncture resistant to tubed tires. The area I live has really rough roads which on average eats two tires a month on my neighbor's Xiaomi M365 (he had to switch to solid tires). Mine was still going strong and the tire feels very sturdy.
It may have limited range for a $500 scooter. But the whole point is you can double the range by paying 30% more to buy the spare battery, and triple the range by paying 60% more. This is not something you can do on other scooters. This is the best value scooter by dollars per mile once you buy the first spare battery.

i always wanted a little "roam around the city" mode of transportable in the back of my car. sometimes the weather is just too good and i want to explore the nearby city for the day. it sure beat walking! the only thing is the price. considering its just a little motor and battery and that a normal scooter is 20$ i dont get why the electric one are 250$ more.

Have you tired the Pro? Im having a hard time figuring out what's worth the money especially since i live in NYC so if it doesn't work it's quite a process and schlep to return if there are issues but there is a Levy store which is why I was hoping for better results on this review :(

I have the Levy Pro. I'm already thinking about looking for a replacement. I don't know what would compete against it with it's range and having disk brakes, instead of drum brakes around the same price range. The first 5 or 6 months the battery got loose. That's just from riding 4 miles in total per day, 5 days a week. What will happen is small road vibration will make the battery bounce. So it will occasionally do an obnoxious beep to warn you it lost connection, loses speed, and then gradually gains speed again once the battery falls back into place on it's on. This can be dangerous if you have anyone behind you. Eventually my battery port got damaged and the controller where the battery connects got damaged also. Keep in mind I tried my best to never drop the scooter, avoided steep hills and when I did they were about no more than 10% incline and I would kick/push to help the motor a bit, and I only been caught in light rain less than a hand full of times, most of the road just had some small cracks here and there and mainly smooth roads. Which I've shown them a video of my Levy Plus issue to the company. The warranty is great and being close to their state shipping pretty quick which was 1 business and the repair was less than a week. Great communication on their end too. The same issue is happening again after 5 months after damage repairs and replaced maintanence parts. What's even worse now is the front wheel suddenly locked up on me at about 16 mph speed. Basically I went 16 mph to 0 mph in an instant. I'm surprised I didn't get thrown over my scooter. I'm also lucky nobody was behind me and I ended up riding on a empty sidewalk for a bit, after I was riding on a back road, before all that happen. This time I never road it in any kind of rain or puddle and even smoother roads now that I take another route for more commute. It took about an hour for the front wheel to unlock itself even after being turned off. I gave it another go a few hours later. It ocassionally decides to lock up even on smooth roads. I have to turn off the scooter and take out the battery and reinsert it. Now I might have to repackage and get it repaired again. Too much of a hassle. I was hoping I would only have to ship my scooter to them for a yearly maintanance, but it seems this scooter can't even make it through a year. This happened yesterday. It's all quite frustrating, now I have to get back in touch with them again this soon.

@@digirides2302 Good info. I’m in Nyc too and it seems like none of the manufacturers have really accounted for bad city roads & bumps.

I am researching 2 scooters for my girlfriend and I.
After reviewing many, it seems clear that all have issues. From Segway to Levy. It makes it seem like they are all crap.
There is a dealer that sells Levy about an hour away and I think I’ll get 2 of them and get extra batteries.
At least the dealer can help with repair if needed.
Does anyone have any recommendations? Just don’t want to spend too much money yet.

They didn't have any recommendations. I'd check out the segway max, or Gotrax for single motor scooters. There's a bunch of dual motors that tear up hills. Check out my website for a comparison electrekrevolution.com/
