Nice to see someone taking security and safety seriously, especially having spent so much on a scooter :) In my opinion if you’re going over 40-50km/h you should be wearing a lightweight motorcycle helmet instead, they do exist, they’re just not cheap. They do however provide a different kind of safety.
@VegasPoolGuy1: bit late I guess but some friendly advice, check all bolts and screws before trying it out. Won't be the first scooter that has one or more that need a bit of extra attention.
You missed out a great accessory. A handlebar-mounted SAM battery to take care of any pesky ah-64 Apaches or su-35 fighter planes. I picked one up off Amazon for only £5.50 and it really makes a difference
It's the law in Florida to have eye protection, but it's also common sense. I can't think of any reason to look at a phone while scooting, but I'm an old man. And as far as security goes, I always keep my scooter with me wherever I go. Good video though, but I love the simplicity of just riding. I always bring my backpack, so I need something I can put it in there. A multi tool, bottle of water, etc. Nobody ever mentions a rear view mirror, which I find essential. Thanks for the vid!
First off, I am NOT negating or arguing ANY point in this video. I am merely sharing my experiences so far with my particular scooter. The Emove Cruiser has an optional storage box that mounts over the rear wheel, which I bought, and it holds the multi-tool and charger with room for a hammock or windbreaker or rain jacket or whatever third item I feel I need for that day. Few scooters have this option so I guess I'm just bragging, mostly wanted to point it out. As for headlights, there are many that come with their own rubbery type of mounting band that can attach to nearly any spare part of the handlebars. My scooter had basically ZERO real estate left in the cockpit, directly out of the box, so I mounted one of these with no extender necessary; maybe you can as well. As for the phone, I find that the audible verbal prompts from the mapping app work just as well on complicated winding bike trails as much as they do in a car on the road so I just leave my phone in my pocket where that expensive thing belongs. Last, but not least, I found a cable lock with a built in alarm; key fob and all, just like a car's alarm. Able to be cut for sure, with the proper tool, but the alarm scares people and draws the eyes of any other people nearby and thieves do not like eyes on them so they tend to bail. I've actually seen it happen on my scooter twice now and they both literally ran away. Anyway, those are my thoughts I felt the need to share but, if you have little knowledge of such things, PLEASE follow ALL advice in this video.
Just a quick suggestion and it’s probably overkill. Got a motorcycle brake alarm that should help prevent unwanted theft. It’ll surely make a lot of noise before someone actually is able to steal your Mantis. Just a suggestion though. But i want that Mantis so bad. Where did you purchase yours. Thanks!
I would 100% recommend wearing a full face helmet when you're going at 17-20 mph. I recently gotten into an accident on my shooter and fell face first 18 mph on the pavement, luckily i had a full face helmet on so i was fine, am sure i would have a dislocated jaw or become unconscious. 17-20 mph is pretty fast so be careful
I carry a small, electric pump and for my front wheel, an extra innertube. (The back wheel's innertube is probably too hard to change). Also, a small adjustable wrench, a small flashlight, a plastic bag, and a small insulated lunch bag, that I carry water and an icebag, to be able to get frozen or refrigerated store items. And I also carry a pen, a cheap camera, and back LED light, that I have running at all times (except when parked).
I recommend knee pads. If you go down your knees will likely be involved in making contact with the pavement. I would never recommend a cell phone holder. If you crash, your phone may cost as much as your scooter. Plus, cell phones are a distraction. I recommend a small digital clock for those who commute. I don't recommend riding in the dark, ever! Daytime driving is dangerous enough.
I agree bout the phone. Always wear gloves. U always land on your hands. Kingsong Panther has 40w front light good enough for night ride. Cheers and thanks for useful video.

Very handy information. I am getting one tomorrow. I've been doing my research and the one I want for entry level is the hover 1 alpha which luckily my local Best buy has one in stock.

Dam bro how fast you scooter go if you need that stuff
@@alexfishes868 Uhhhh those are exclusively safety features mobility wise. Telling others which way you're turning and being able to look behind you has nothing to do with speed lmao
Very well done my friend. Liked 👍
Great video
6:13 buy scooter that is impossible have flat tire. its like buy low cost road tires and you have puncture every day. then its time inves 3500 on dualtron and get offroad tires. never needed air lol even ride all winter. never neede helmet bcoz cant ride over 25kph its max limit
4:51 cost more than tool open it less than 5 second. lock is only for 5 min max on shop. even then if someone want take it they will take it
Love Your Theme Song. 🙂👍🏿✌🏿🙏🏾
Hi love the vidzs. Question about the mantis, how is the stem holding up? Does is shake where it’s connected. I’m planning to buy one soon and was wondering how strong the lock mechanism was for the stem.
I haven't had any issues with stem wobble so far but I do know other people have issues with the stem on their mantis. I think the more recent versions of the mantis have had less issues with the stem
RK9 Rides ok thanks
G'day, I have a query regarding the Slime Tube Repair. I have used this product multiple times to do repairs while I'm out and at home. I follow the instructions on the bottle and this has never worked for me. Does anyone have any suggestions with this. I really don't understand why or what I may be doing wrong?
Do you have a phone mount for AovoPro
Thanks a lot man❤❤
Your videos and insight into scooter life are the best on YT. Subbed mate.
Amazing vid. Thanks to you I ordered eagle one, wanna do some door dashing. Appreciate your work brother, like and sub 👊
what about an enduro bike helmet?,made for high speeds
always wonderd what kinda helmets peope used, had no idea there were helmets for mountain biking
I got the handle bar extension off Amazon, and sad to say it doesn't work. It doesn't get tight enough.
Are you installing them with the plastic ring that goes around the bar? You have to include the plastic gasket if installing them on smaller handlebars
@@RK9Rides yeah man even with everything on it's still too loose. I guess that's why it's so cheap.
Dang sorry man, I'll remove that from the description
But can Google fit over prescription glasses?
what size helmet do you wear?
Great video.. Greetings from Denmark.
Great video, thanks
Seems that the MTB helmets are the bulkier with the big visor and chin protection.
5:43 Bruh the pump says gay in Swedish
gay sports
i am from norway
Hahahhah you don't want to know what "bog" means on Bosnian then.
Where’s the link for the head light youe are using?
He uses Victagen 2400 Lumen light www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GJC17KF/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&psc=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=tonyhobbies-20&linkId=57d7562f0fc299a2fc5645983696f68e&language=en_US ;)
I would add turn signals and side mirrors to the essentials list. After all, most of us are riding with cars at some point and we should be communicating and safeguarding ourselves
Use your arm if your really that concerned
@@lman22 fr bikes been doing it for years
@@lman22 A stupid comment. If you hit a bump with only one hand on the bars, your going to crash. It has happened to many individuals.
@@Uojomo If you cannot see a bump and resist it with the one arm you are using you should not be on a 60km/h scooter
Saw a video that suggested using your leg as your turn signal. Works for me!
Thanks for the tips man. Im a new rider
that is a gold video fucking sick
Very handy information. I am getting one tomorrow. I've been doing my research and the one I want for entry level is the hover 1 alpha which luckily my local Best buy has one in stock.
can you tell me what kind of electric scooter you are riding??
What about motorcycle gloves !! I never ride without them . Leather jacket , body armour ?
Slime BEFORE you catch a flat. Never carry slime
What a great video! Thanks and are you still loving the Mantis?
Did you use slime to ur mantis?
No, just my Hover-1 Alpha. I'll slime my Mantis if it gets a flat
Will that mtb helmet protect you when going 30-40 mph if crashed?
I have a fox v3 carbon fiber helmet but I think it offers more protection or its overkill?
It can never hurt to use more protection. I feel very safe in a MTB helemt tho. They are definitely made to take impacts at higher speed
@@RK9Rides thanks for replying
I need that helmet
If you know you know
There’s no link for the bar extender
I got feedback that the one I linked wasn't fitting people's handlebars so I took it out of the description. You can search "bike handlebar extender" on amazon and find one there
RK9 Rides oh okay got it thanks
Happy I aways choose solids, even happier I'm not made out of glass. But im a heavy commuter.. 🎉😅
do they still sell this scooter?
i dont have a drivers licence witch is why i would like to get one
😂
@@TurreTuntematon 😂
I want a USB-C power outlet so I can power my phone off the Scooter battery, I had one situation where my scooter was locked and my phone battery died. I could not unlock it until I could power up my phone
Do I need goggles for 15mph scooter?
You shouldn't need them below 25mph honestly. The wind pressure isn't very high until you get into the 30-40mph range. If you ride in a lot of dusty or wooded areas with a lot of insects they might still be welcome though.
@@captaincaveman8532 ok thanks
I would like to know why you can't make your tires on your stock eagle ones a little bit better can't you put Teflon in them so they don't pop so easy I've got $350 in new tubes for the rear tire only for $1,400 you need a big build a better tire for your scooters that don't pop so easy
Mountain biking helmets are not designed for impacts on faster scooters. You need the Motorcycle full face helmets if yours goes over 20Mph.
4:57 the item below your slime that says "BÖG sports" made me laugh alot. Not to offend anyone, but Bög means Gay (Male) in Swedish :'D So it literally says Gay sports on my language right there *giggles*
Thanks for the informative vid!
Hi, I'm reaching out to as many people as i can.
I have a mantis 10 DUO 18.2AH 60V scooter SN KBTL121120082331.
I'm trying to find a wiring diagram for these two black ESC's (controller boxes) but no one can help me so far.
Is there anyone here that could maybe supply me with a photo of how the connects are all set up? or a diagram or anything. I have tried the manufacturers and many stores.
No one can help me so far.. Please if anyone has the model with the two black controllers can you please please help me with a photo or anything :( I beg you.
I went straight over handle bars at 32 mph on gas scooter didn't help my back
