I am beyond confused. I don't understand why there are not way more views than this this is a masterpiece and the fact that you started working on this before the Book of Bobba Fett not only did you bring as you said emotion and turmoil to Cadbanes character. For a family to have achieve this is beyond words that I can possibly say this this is worthy or shall I say be UNworthy of what Disney has done in my opinion with the budget that they had. I was so impressed with everything about this story that you have kindly shared with us that I am going to do my very best to help promote this to get this out there to all the Star Wars fans cause they deserve to see a film like this. Hands down one of the best fan films ever made.
All I can ask is please please make more. I would pay gladly pay to watch more of the beautiful and masterful work you and your family have done and everyone that's participated on making this a reality. * of course I understand you cant* Speak to Disney lol Good Luck.
I do apologize that I keep coming back to this thread but I can't say how impressed that I am I am I am a amazed shot and can't stop watching it over and over again it's that amazing and I haven't even watched the Star Wars episode episodes as many times as I've seen this film
I will just add just one more reply if you haven't had a chance to see Darth Maul Apprentice that is the same exact thing that's going on he doesn't really speak a word until the end of the fan film but his facial expressions speaks volumes. I hope you realize that if you and your family were to make a series on this. Give it time it will blow up and receive easily millions of views no question about it. OK I'm just gonna stop ranting about how I am thoroughly impressed and shocked at what you have all produced here and put together I am blown away and besides myself. I knew in my following post I said this would be my last but I have to come back and say again the fact that you are receptive and intuitive and you just make an overall great threand overall great director and really your family deserves to be put on a pedestal and honestly Disney needs to give you all a chance or at least involve you in bringing some of the greatest Star Wars fandom to life. Watching the new Obi wan kenobi series my gosh if you created a series it would be so much better than the trash that I've experienced and many people have you guys are awesome much love

I would have never guessed there were only a few storm troopers on set. Great editing. You did a great job of making bane look skilled while still giving him struggles and not just making it a bunch of storm troopers dying with no danger to bane. Great job.
Just curious, how does a non-profit, unofficial fan film get funded? That might make a video in itself
It doesn't. At least not in this case. There was no budget for this.
This Cad Bane was way better than the one in Book of Boba in every aspect.
This Cad Bane had a story. A purpose, a challenge, an objective.
The Cad Bane in BoB was just a gimmick. It's assumed that fans know the character and the backstory and the conflict vs Boba from previous appearances. But in the context of the show itself, Cad Bane is just some random blue villain who walks out of the desert, kills people, and gets gunned down - no real character narrative at all.

I am a huge fan of Cad Bane and I thought this was phenomenal and really hope we get to see more of this character from you guys later in the future

Amazing what you can do with talent and very little money. Hollywood and Lucas Film and Disney should be both impressed and embarrassed by how good this came out. I say give these guys a generous budget and have them make a full length film. I'd go see it.

Using household stuff in the build makes for fantastically retro optics back 70/80 style and therefore so much more appealing for older SW fans.

@Farrar Film I am beyond speechless and this has blown my mind. I honestly thought this movie was shot as a huge production scale as it looks so polished, cinema quality and highly professional. And what a surprise to discover that this is a family project with no budget, non professional actors and everything was designed, created and produced at home...with so much heart and soul. Now this is what call a family bonding project. I can't describe how impressed I am. You are all awesome. The passion and perseverance certainly paid off.

12:15 I completely agree. Cad has always been ruthless but theres always some things about him that come out now and then that show hes not a complete sociopath. He has a code of respect, and he doesnt just kill for the fun of it.
Which makes it even more tragic that BoBF completely missed that and made him a completely one dimensional killer. :(
This is a better Cade then what Disney has done. They need to fire their whole staff and hire people like you.

This film was a masterpiece. Such love and passion went into it and it shines in every frame. I know this comment is late to the party and will be swallowed by the youtube Gods, but i want everyone who worked on the film to know: you did something special here.
Awesome. Not to throw shade on Disney, but this is a more accurate Cad Bane, because you and your family had the nerve to to it from a place of LOVE! And Star Wars should give you a FEELING, which Dave Filoni referred to in an interview once. After watching the painstaking efforts your family went through to make this film, it inspires me to do the same. But I don't have the capability of doing anything close to what you guys did, so someone else would have to take on such extensive production responsibilities.

The limited rescources, forcing you to get creative in solving problems, is definitely something that Disney productions suffer from lacking, with their "unlimited" budgets.

oh wow....! not only did you manage to come up with a _far_ _better_ version of live action Cad Bane, you also had a story, well written dia- and monologue, character building and all those other trades franchised media eliminated from the revenue stream process long time ago. Best piece of star wars I have seen in a long time!

Beatiful, inspiring job! Ever since I was a young boy, I have always adored those, who made extremely good looking fan films out of passion and with incredible ammount of creativity and passion. The foam walls are my favorit. How much did they cost? After this movie, who would dare to say: I dont have the budget to fullfill my dream movie. I wish you all the best!

Really great work are you planning to do another short ? next you should try to make a grand inquisitor short film to show a better version than the one from kenobi.
I really enjoyed this fan film! I really like the idea of Qual Tek and Cad Bane kind of balancing eachother out. Dynamics where you have a silly, innocent character and a much meaner and serious character are great!

I really liked your film. I could readily see the van Cleef influence in Bane's mannerisms
The person who played cad bane and Jawas did excellent job at making this film, George Lucas will be proud of it and your family Should be proud of it as well. You did a better job at making this film than Disney has doing the other three Star Wars films Does not include the six original Lucas films and Star Wars the clone wars tv.

You are a very very creative family. I love this project so much. I wrote my own cad bane stories but lack the practical know-how/courage to bring the ideas to life like you did. Can't wait for your next project!
Really well done… I would like to see what you all could do now that your kids have some experience… and I really liked the river bed scene area… you extended it thoughtfully. My son, a web dev programmer by trade, gave me a quote years ago “ with constraints comes creativity”… I think your living room is a perfect example of that. Congrats to you all… I really enjoyed the movie and the documentary.
The attention to detail is reminiscent to how things were done under Lucas. Creates a melancholic feel for me lol.

the original star wars was a fan film of george lucas's favorite shows (flash gordon, buck rogers, so many samurai movies) i believe fan films of star wars will be sought out for their value. good story and high values will always be sought out.
