    we bought our hot tub this fall from a private individual. WE just had 20 below windchill between Christmas and New Year. It is about 20 feet from our back door. We got in it and enjoyed the temerature at 102 degrees

      @@TheHotTubLady my wife actually bought a canopy that we put around our hot tub for privacy and also to keep the wind and snow out. All four sides can be open or closed and even have screens on them.

      We ordered a Hot Springs Limelight Pulse. Sadly it isn’t projected for delivery until the first quarter of 2022 but hot tubs are one of those very popular items during these COVID times.

    Great video, many thanks. But am I wrong to say that you did not mention what temp we should keep it at for the winter? I am in Quebec and it gets real cold. Of course I do not want to keep it at 104 all the time cause of the 💰. Any help would be much appreciated.

    • @TheHotTubLady
      @TheHotTubLady  ปีที่แล้ว

      So your hot tub cost the most to run when it is heating living in Quebec I would hope you have a well insulated hot tub. If you have a quality brand you are better off to set it and leave it there. In extremely cold temps it will cost you more to heat it back up then keeping at a constant temp. If you like it hot 103 is as high as I would set it. If you leave at 104 you leave the your thermostat will be wide open the whole time. So 103 is good. I live in Northern South Dakota and it is cold here too.. not as cold as you but cold. I keep
      Mine at 102. I hope that helps

      @@TheHotTubLady Oh thank you so very much for your help and advice. My wife and I just moved to the mountains of Quebec and we are in for a winter of hard cold and lots of snow. The house came with the hot tub and we know nothing about it or how to maintain it. We got the house in the summer so it was on and working and I played with the temperature etc and used it a few times and enjoyed it but with winter coming it is scary. I do not plan on using it a whole lot in the winter I don't think. And one of my worries is that if we lose power, and it happens up here, it will freeze etc. Is emptying it a big deal? I have seen some info on it and it looks a bit overwhelming. I honestly am a bit overhwlemed as to what to do with it this winter. This is all new to me. Any advice? Your kindness is so much appreciated.

      @@TheHotTubLady One more thing, it is an older hot tub I think and it was put on a part of the property that is completely exposed to the elements (but the view from it is spectacular).

    • @TheHotTubLady
      @TheHotTubLady  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pageluvva well if you are going to drain it make sure u get it properly winterized. Like I would call a professional for the first year at least. If you are going to use it which I suggest. Make sure you clean your filters a minimum of once a month and you check your hot tub no matter how cold it gets every 5-7 days. Keep that temp up
