Well done. Would it also work if you placed another feeder PVC tube 180 degrees opposite of the 1st to do twice the work at the same time?

In theory, it would absolutely work. The only question would be, could that small 5hp engine handle the load? Other than that concern, I'm convinced it would work.

Why not add handles to the sides and cut off the bottom. Move it to where you want the mulch and chop a bunch then move the whole barrel and motor. That would save you from having to pop off the top to dump it. You can also adjust the height of the barrel to fit the users height more appropriately.

Thank you! I have a very bad bamboo infestation. Probably lost nearly am acre to it it. Today k finally found an efficient way to cut it dowm but its against my contract to put in dumpster. The inly pmace near us that except it if you haul it to them is lime $500 or more a trailer load which would be 10s of thousands lol. I dont want to birn it as i can cut it way faster than k can burn it, amd it burns like gas when it dries out, i do not want hige piles of this drying out in the summer heat. Especially with me burning some at the same time, eapeciay because fire will dry out the live standing bamboo and then when the fire jimps to my pile it will wind up catching it all smh. Im pretty sure me and half my street would lose our houses of that happened. It looked to worn well enough with the corn that it would dry into decent fill material, tbh the bamboo i have is not all that differrent than the hardness and flexability of the corn. Just way way taller. 30 or 40 ft probably in some areas

Anyways I was going to spend 500+ on a harbor freight gas mulcher but already build most of my machines so decided to see what others had done, I don't have an extra push mower im willing to sacrifice, I do however have a craftsman riding mower woth 20 something horse vtwin and a bad deck that runs perfectly. I also have a couple barrels but no lids. There is a guy local who sells complete metal and plastic barrels for $5 or $10 but I may come up with a different solution, thats alot of motor for a barrel lid. Im considering cutting the front of the mower off with the motor attached and building a frame for it, im also considering using the mower and figuring a way to keep it drivable but have the pto engage a mulcher Instead of a mowing deck. Im not sure exactly how I'm going to do it yet but will. Be done in the next two days im sure
