Had to come back and comment after making my own. Bought the 4mm plate on Amazon for $70.00US Used an angle grinder instead of a drill (it's what I had available) I've been making pellet dog food, rabbit feed and goat feed using my own ingredients. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your time & ideas. I really enjoy your videos..!!!!

Always hit/press the OUTER bearing race when installing. The way show could damage the precision balls inside. Besides me not being able to help myself, sorry, this is incredible! I’d be very proud of that.
Yeah that black covering the bearjng is not that hard. If you are installing that way, place a timber across the outer housing. Make sure to hit evenly. Good job mate..
I read most of the comments. It is funny that some people can do more and think they can do more when we all have the YT comment section, while this man made it work and functional.😂😅
WOW when I read the title and description I thought you meant a large industrial standing drill press machine ... when I saw you use that handheld corded electric drill my jaw dropped. This is fantastic, thanks for sharing! I would love to see updates on this machine, including what volume of output and you reasonably expect per hour. Thanks for sharing this!!!
Here is a challenge for you. Make a machine that will extrude briquettes to use for cooking. The source material for the briquettes must come from waste cardboard, scrap wood, paper, crop residue (rice straw, coconut husks, animal manure, etc) - anything that can burn. The purposes of the briquette is a clean burning fuel for the poor who do not have access to gas and rely on chopping down trees. With briquettes, they can let the trees live. I imagine the die will be very long so there is great compaction and the end of the die will produce some angular shapes on the top or sides of the slab so there would be "points" that would quickly light. My hunch is the final briquette would be 30mm square X 60mm long You will also have to build a blender. The hammer mill would work, but I suspect the screen holes are too small. You could cut out the screen and make different size screens that would fit into place. Or you could use water to break down and blend the ingredients in something similar to a cement mixer or maybe a ball mill so the balls crush the fibers? When the extruder is made, do another video where you use a variety of your inventions to process the feed material for the extruder, extrude briquettes, let them dry in the sun, and cook a pot of rice with the briquettes perhaps on a stove you invent! Either or both of these suggestions will push you over 500,000 subscribers and you will have a regular income. With a little help, I suspect you could set up a factory to make these machines if you can get the cost per machine down to what poor people can afford. 😊👍
I would like to see you make a machine that would grind an entire ear of corn (corn kernels, cob and stalk) into a fine consistent meal. Then I would like to see you run that meal through your pellet mill. Or you can use any of the machines you have already built. But the goal is to process an entire corn stalk, cob and corn into pellets. Feel free to add another field crop like sorghum as a binder if you like. So the goal is to demonstrate a group of your inventions for the small rural farmer who has access to normal household plug in power. Are you interested in that challenge? 😊
Suggestions for version 2.0: It's turning way too fast. You welded everything so now you cannot service the bearings or clean it. You should have installed a fence inside (under the die) that pushes the pellets out. A better design would also have a hopper with an agitator so you don't have to stand there and feed tiny amounts of grain.
Buena idea , sugiero hacerla desarmable no con tanta soldadura eso dificulta darle mantenimiento y utiliza un motor que este diseñado para este tipo de trabajo continuo
You should Build a bigger one or build several ones. Find a rice mill near you in a hundred mile radius or further.Brand is pretty cheap. After you mill it convey it to a heater and cook it at a certain temperature. Then test it for quality control to make sure there's no bacteria or pathogens. Then sell it as deer feed are horse feed etc.... I'm also a welder by trade. You did a very good job young man building that mill.
This is such a pleasure to watch, no speech, just clear, professional work; mesmerising. Thank you. I'd like to know how you marked all the holes in the plate. I presume that the next version will have a steeper chute to stop the back-up. Now off to find someone to make me one!
WHat a great concept AND execution! Keep on making these videos. You are an inspiration to countless young people to be creative and learn technical skills so you can execute your own genius ideas! 👍 The next time you make a die of this type, chamfer the pellet holes so they are larger where the feed wheels contact the die and smaller at the exit. You could do this with a countersink. The important consideration it the transition from larger to small has to be consistent. The purpose for this modification to the die is to add some more compression to the pellet to reduce breakage.
@@DiamleonDiyBuilds You are most welcome! I encourage you to continue on with your inventions. Do you live in India or have contacts on the continent? I believe there is a pregnant market for your machine with some refinement and cost reduction. You will have a steady income from TH-cam soon to fund your workshop. 500,000 subscribers. 😊👍
Great. This guy is a smart engineer..What a great idea AND execution! is a source of inspiration for countless young people to create and learn.😬😬😮💨😪🤤
I have to wonder how long it took to burn up the drill motor, though. I think Id use something a bit heftier thats meant to run continuously, but I absolutely love this small-scale versatile mill!! How firm were the pellets once completely dry? What diameter are the plate holes?
Good effort, but there are some mistakes in the manufacturing, my brother. You must make it disassemble easily so that you can open it and repair it, but I applaud you for your artistic efforts. My regards to you.

Are the pellets cut somehow? Aside from my doubt this is fantastic. Helps me a lot understanding the process and everything. Currently I'm doing a research about this machine and this is so simple and yet so incredible. Keep it up man.
the pellets are not cut, they just sorta break off as they get pushed through the little holes. I was wondering the samething, thinking it was similar to a meat grinder.
