The "conservative culture" stereotype is actually a thing, for 'Latin's'. (Lol).
Condescending, sure maybe, probably not useful to completely paint with a broad brush.
Also, a bit more complicated, because lots of these countries have problems with a history of Socialism. Of course.
(So that's part of the culture too).
People don't want similar problems from countries they're leaving, to develop in countries where they arrive.
However, I'm pretty sure the main consideration has less to do with the above, than with the (pretty well understood) phenomenon of fairly recent, working class legal immigrants often shifting right, in general.
Fewer jobs and resources available (whether perception, or reality) with a greater number of recent arrivals.
'Climbing up the ladder behind you'.
Hispanics tend to be pretty culturally conservative, uninterested in transplanting Socialist politics, and especially prefer not to compete against a growing number of other, recent arrivals.
(I swear, the AI generated, freshman essay versions of everything I read now, have got me writing these sort of concluding statements, to recap whatever I just said).
In conclusion, Jules is discussing US Hispanic voting patterns, eccentrically referring to himself in the 3rd person, and gradually turning into a robot, through osmosis.
