I'm in data science class right now and we spend a lot of time talking about polling. Of all the mathematical techniques and statistics used it always always comes down to humans are humans, and until they cast a vote there is no way of knowing what people actually think. No matter how diverse or random the samples are, someone somewhere is always going to change their mind :/

Why? It's totally different. The polls are tied. They heavily favored Clinton in 2016. People didn't think there was a snowball's chance in Hell Trump would be elected, and he was. Kamala Harris doesn't have nearly the political baggage Hillary Clinton does. Trump has a ton of baggage now. And Roe V Wade was overturned. So... Either candidate could win but it's not the same energy.

I'm 30 and have never voted so. Prepping for that. " he got so fucking mad. Started yelling about how I'm a women and I'm voting against rights for myself, women in general. How awful I am. I said " at least I'm not voting for someone just because they are a woman and 'black' I care about my kid and my country." I got a bad review from him. Im picking the Democrats to win with 54% of the vote this time around. I know there is some unrest in New York City with people waking up to the idea of being a Sanctuary City. I am Indonesian. I have visited the USA many times since 2009 and seen how beautiful and prosperous the country of America is. My last visit was in 2017 if I am not mistaken. And since then I have seen this beloved country of America in the news that many beautiful shops are closed, many illegal immigrants are entering, drug users and filling several streets in Los Angeles, Philly, San Francisco and several other cities seem neglected and make me very sad. May the Lord Jesus give a good leader and can fix the country of America into a safe country, the economy is growing, drug users are decreasing, and it becomes a beautiful country again. Hopefully I can visit the USA again and smile seeing the changes and enjoy my trip in the USA which leaves beautiful memories in my heart. God bless you America!

Electoral college my friend. Bigger states (more populated) have more electoral votes than smaller states.
Urban areas typically vote Democrat. Rural areas typically vote Republican. Break down every state and youll see bigger cities voting deep blue.
Most of the Democrat area is the North Eastern parts of the US. Suburban New York City voters have voted Democrat for a long time.
Not many people live in flyover country.
Search up real quick what the most populated states are and see how most of them are the same as the blue states on the map
