IMO it's not worth the premium over aluminum for something that you're not actually going to want to wear for more than a few years at most. And sure, Saffire is more scratch resistant than the glass but it's also easier to shatter. But I understand that many people just don't care about $300. I think Apple already gets enough of my money.
@ I feel you, I’ve had my 44mm Series-6 for fours years now and still love it. The battery 🪫 is losing its maximum health and needs replacing. Only thing is, I have to use a clear case to keep it looking new. My brother has a Stainless Steel S6, and it still looks brand new even though he never used a case.
Would have been even better with weight comparison against other options - fabric Ultra bands, silicone Nike, etc. To get some perspective. Apple unfortunately doesn't specify weights for their bands.
This is easily the best band Apple has ever released. Better than the alpine loop and trail loop, better than the link bracelet. It takes all the greatest things about the original Milanese loop and retains them but fixes all of its issues. I just put my order in for one
Fantastic review! I think you are the first and only one who compared this Titanium Milanese loop on Ultra watch vs S10. I ordered APS10 Slate Titanium and was torn apart between this Titanium Milanese loop and Slate Link Bracelet to go with. I'm glad I ended up ordering the Link Bracelet, even though it delayed my Apple Watch order by like few weeks lol. This Titanium Milanese loop really looks best on both Ultra watches in my opinion. Looks like Apple knew what they are doing dedicating it to Ultra. EDIT: That Alpine loop on S10 with Topaz watch face is fire!!
I imagine it's dedicated to the Ultra because of the bulkier mechanical closure. It doesn't have the elegance of the original. One thing I didn't like about the original steel loop was that it was catching on magnets all the time when taking it on/ off/ charging. And not just the magnetic tab but also MagSafe. The loop was constantly curled up around the charging puck or back of the watch. Peeling it off got old pretty quickly.
Good timing on this video. Thanks. I'm also a 185 mm wrist but more like 180 mm when I'm a bit fitter. I changed my order to a medium band after seeing that on you.
You make a good point that the Garmin Titanium watch bands are WAY more expensive than the Titanium Milanese Band. Kind of puts it in perspective a bit. I have the Natural Titanium Milanese loop on order for my Series 1. I'm holding out for the Ultra 3.
Oh this is really sick. I’m debating whether to get this for the S10 Titanium Edit: actually now looking at it, it does look quite a bit bulky so I’ll have to see this in store myself
Great to see you also put that strap on the regular Apple Watch Series 10. It convinced me to order the Series 10 and the new Ultra Titanium Milanese Loop! 👍👍👍
Great video! I appreciate how you go into detail and give your thoughts and impressions rather than just reading manufacturer blurb. I agree that the trail loop is the best for comfort; I wouldn't say this is uncomfortable but you definitely know it's on your wrist.
A buckle is needed since Titanium is non magnetic but it adds some thickness. I prefer the slimmer magnetic band for a dressier look on the series 10 but the buckle is stronger and works better for the ultra and sports or scuba.
I just got the steel version for my series 9… love it. Wasn’t keen on spending the additional money for the titanium version but if i really love it maybe.
Great video! One thing to mention concerning the Milanese Loop is that if you really like it, it would save you $100 if ordering with the watch as opposed to on its own, which you will pay the $200. Just something to consider if you are on the fence either way.
I wear this band with my aluminum midnight color watch and dgaf. I'd never get an ultra, or honestly any non-aluminum because it's just silly imo for something that's gonna be e-waste in 3 years max. I'm also not upgrading to the 10 because I don't like glossy black color, not one bit. The band and my watch combo, I think it's great. I got tired of buying a new leather link or whatever it's called every 12 months and since they stopped making them in favor of woven whatever I've had to get the leather ones from third party sellers. This lovely titanium loop band was only twice the price of the leather ones, which dont last an ape like myself more than a year of use. I have no doubt this band will hold up long enough to make it worth it. And it's more breathable and just about as comfortable. Love it. I think $200 is an extremely fair price for a product like this. Titanium is not an easy material to work with, and this band isn't made from cheapo alloys. I think this band might actually outlive the watch for once.
Classy watch. I have nothing against Apple at all. I own a M1 MacBook Air and love it. As far as today's smart watches go I am a big Garmin fan -- in particular the Venu 3. I consider it one of the best tech and health investments I've ever made. ... Love their battery life too.
Buyer’s remorse for me on the Milanese Loop on Ultra 2, at least for golf. After a couple rounds of golf, having it be either too tight (avoid having watch flop around) or too loose, I purchased the trail (Velcro) style. I kept the Milanese Loop for a more dressy option.
185mm wrist here as well... I can't get off the fence as to whether I buy Medium or Large for my Ultra 2. Agonizing as I think the Large will move the clasp so my wrist isn't sitting on it against my desk.
I’m a 180mm wrist and got the large - buckle sits to the side a bit but I don’t mind it, would be a bit concerned about it scratching my laptop if it was centred
It looks great ! , I would change the silver for the new black, however, it appears to get easily scratch, and those you can notice in this satin look, sadly.
Thanks for the solid review! Have you noticed that is scratches your laptop when using it? Is it less comfortable than the Sports Loop when pressing against a laptop?
Probably will depend on the size of your laptop but the edge touches slightly against my 16" MBP. A sport loop will be more comfortable overall, just due to being soft and flexible.
Thanks! I have been of the fence because I getting the natural titanium S10. Been wearing the ultra 1 since release and a bit heavy for me. Going to place my order
I take it then that this titanium band will be ok for series 10 jet black aluminium. I’m hoping so as it will look really cool and I cycle and go gym so looking for a good strong strap. Enjoy your vids by the way.
Just be careful when putting the strap on and off every day as the titanium will scratch the glass and aluminium watch if allowed to bang against them 👍🏾
Great video! Do you think this band would scratch the laptop or create scuff marks on the clasp of the band if it is rubbing against the laptop as you're working?
one of the reasons I hated my Milanese loop on my series 4 was that it didn't have a buckle and would gradually slip off, not ideal at all for working out. Does this one move around more on the Ultra while exercising? Considering getting the Milanese Ultra 2 Black as a one all be all.
I’d be interested to hear how this actually feels on the wrist during workouts. It seems like it could be the best of both worlds were looks nice, but also is light and breathes well. Interested to hear though if that’s actually the case.
Apple employee told me if you get the wrong size, you can just swap it out free of cost. Of course, that depends on an apple store being near you, but I'm sure the online store could do the same for you.
The black ultra looks so good but seeing how my regular ultra 2 has faired I’d stay away. If you are using it as intended with outdoor activities it’s bound to get dinged up pretty well, and how well the coating color will stay on is definitely questionable. Mine has a few decent dings in the titanium, which aren’t that noticeable due to the natural color. The sapphire glass screen though is amazing in these.
Damn never really looked a the ultra up close but I’m 175 so this boys lookin a lil thicc. Glad I got it with the Milanese since only one could get the employee discount. The baby cobra buckle was a pleasant surprise, never seen one so tiny. Real cobra buckle cost $75 extra on my Mission Workshop Mars backpack so good deal lmao.
Trail loop for comfort, long-term durability I'd have to imagine goes to titanium ;) Although my original trail loop from the original Ultra is still going strong.

A thought that just occurred to me... If the stainless steel Milanese loop had been released later than the titanium Milanese loop, I think people would have been impressed by the improved convenience and fit. you all know, it doesn't take several steps to adjust(because it's magnetic!)
Is there any confirmation from Apple that the finish on the band is in fact DLC coated? I haven't been able to find anything concerning that in Apple's descriptions online. I have Spyderco knives with DLC finish and they hold up very well, and I've also had black non-DLC metal bands which show wear pretty quickly.
Does anyone experience this catching and pulling hairs on your wrist? The older loop would catch and pull a hair on my wrist every now and then and I found that irritating.
I had to return this band and watch within 5 days. I found the band, even with careful use, badly scratched the back of the watch. Have you had any problem like this yet?
I’m still waiting for my watch. It said I won’t get in until October 15. What the heck??? Should’ve got the green band instead of the black titanium one 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Does it catch any long sleeve clothing you are wearing? I had a 3rd party stainless steel one from before and it would constantly get my jumper and actually damaged my jumper!
Make sure there 's no dust or other particles on either side of the attachment. On one occasion it was tight but discovered there was a speck of something clogging it.
Hello, I need a size recommendation. My wrist measures 180mm. What size do I need 1. for the Milanese Loop band and 2. for the Alpine Loop band? "M" or "L"? many thanks
Hi, have you noticed any marks or micro-scratches so far on the 10 titanium? Sorry for the slightly off-topic question, but I can't find an answer anywhere, and I have two watches on order - the Ultra 2 and the 10 Titanium Natural - and I need to cancel one of them. I prefer the 10 Titanium, but I'm worried about micro-scratches forming quickly on the shiny surface. In none of the TH-cam videos does anyone mention anything about the scratch resistance of the 10 Titanium.
can you tell me how its actually for sports? cause i have a series 7 titanium with a milanese band and i find the metal do have to less tension to my skin so the watch moves arround. maybe the new ultra melanaise band fixes that? also i am a person who constantly switches between holes in the band to loosen and tighten, when my arm gets a bit thicker and thinner during the day or sport.. not shure if the mechanism is fast enough to change.. what do you think?
I have it and have used several times exercising ands light and comfortable. The quick clasp to adjust is pretty easy to do as I change my fit regularly as well. I find it a little fiddly taking on and off wrist with clasp and hard a very hard time when changing strap as the fit is very tight.
I want that upgraded clasp for the series 10 titanium and Apple Watches every year. I don’t want a bulbous dinner plate Ultra. I much prefer the more sleek, thinner, smaller cases of the stainless case series - which is now in titanium. Yet Apple wants us to accept the old stainless mesh bracelet with the old, terrible magnetic clasps that doesn’t stay in place.
@@czaynej1051 Agreed. The series 10 premium is now titanium, yet they’re still using the old stainless mesh bracelet. I have that bracelet for the series 8 stainless. It looks amazing, but the old magnetic clasp doesn’t stay in place. You have to constantly reposition it. Can’t even sleep with it on. The watch will be loose or come off if I do sleep with it. It should be in titanium with the new clasp the Ultra has. Apple needs to understand the Ultra watch is a niche market. Most do not need - or want - an ultra watch. It’s gigantic. Most do not need the ultra features.
All of these bands have the same weakness... they are too thick under the wrist.. So when you set your hand on a table.. they rub... ultimately causing damage on your tabletop/laptop.
How are you getting on with this titanium milanese loop with your titanium series10? Would you recommend? It seemed to fit but you made no comment on whether you liked it?
I think the band looks good but in Canada its around $300 just for the band and that's absolutely insane to me... Im still trying to decide if I should go with the ultra 2 black or the polished titanium natural.
I loved how light is the bracelet, but the loop on the top is something that ruin the symmetry of the entire set. Very comfortable, but aesthetically is not the perfect for small wrists.
What you should’ve done and I could only assume you didn’t because Apple told you not to is to show what the Ultra Milanese loop looks like on the series 10 titanium. I tried it on at the store and like I knew it would it looked way better than the regular steel Milanese loop and is more comfortable and doesn’t grab arm hair. Also it looks as good if not better on the series 10 than the Ultra.
@@DesFit oops. Sorry I didn’t realize that. But you didn’t give your opinion on how you felt it looked with the series 10 vs the Ultra. It was very quick. I just rereviewed the video.
The fact that you put it on the Series 10 and Natural Titanium Ultra has caused me to subscribe.
Thanks!

That series 10 Black Titanium Apple Watch is gorgeous!

Got it on launch and I love it. It’s so light it feels like plastic. Strangely mine did not come with the cardboard and pull tab seen in this video 🤔
The black ESR glass screen protector for the ultra takes most of the hits. I highly recommend

Anyone know how the Milanese loop does with long arm hair? Does it pull or have sharp edges on the band?
I have very long arm hair and it does not pinch or pull thankfully. It did snag on one particular blanket I own tho
I get pretty sweaty at my work and have felt a couple pinches. Not sure if that’s the sweat or my arm hairs being pulled or a little combo of both 😅

@@czaynej1051 wow, TH-cam hid my reply under “newest comments.” I didn’t even comment anything bad? WTH, TH-cam?
Waaaaaaahhh!
Saw these bands at the Apple Store and man, do they ever leave scratches on the edges of the watch if you’re not careful
Nice video, but what's not going to happen is $200 spent on a watch band, Apple has truly lost their mind
For a titanium band, it’s actually not bad compared to other options out there
I wish I didn’t get the trail loop I’m not a fan of
I think the band looks good but in Canada its around $300 just for the band and that's absolutely insane to me... Im still trying to decide if I should go with the ultra 2 black or the polished titanium natural.
can you use apple watch ultra straps on series 10?
The 46mm and the Ultras have the same connection, so all bands are interchangeable.
i would appreciate more if you dont shake the strap too much when close up😆
the band is 100 dollars more and not 200 dollars more. love my titanium gold.
It's $100 more if purchased with the Ultra, $200 standalone
I loved how light is the bracelet, but the loop on the top is something that ruin the symmetry of the entire set. Very comfortable, but aesthetically is not the perfect for small wrists.
The edges are too sharp for me.
Is anyone tired of it after playing sports like basketball or tennis?
Not one video of natural titanium Milanese loop !
Once you go black you never go back.
Sorry, but did you happen to watch the entire video? (Especially the part where I put it on the Series 10 titanium)
@@DesFit oops. Sorry I didn’t realize that. But you didn’t give your opinion on how you felt it looked with the series 10 vs the Ultra. It was very quick. I just rereviewed the video.
