Hi, it would be great to compare it to generatepress and kadence blocks.

Ugh could that be the reason the website that I am building is slow. I am using OceanWP extra and qubely and boy, I might consider something else to build the site. I am not saying it is the plug in fault. I am saying that I learned something today. Thank you all, you are so smart y'all.

Thank you Alex, for the Fantastic Review 🥰
This was covered in depth, and is a great feature overview for The Plus Addons for Gutenberg blocks.

Sounds like a good comprehensive plugin mate, but unzipped it's over 13MB!! Heaven knows what that does to performance on a website? Perhaps do some speed tests to check how slow it gets with this 'kitchen sink' blocks plugin. Performance is very important - sometimes something that does 'everything' is not as good as a minimal block plugin like "generateblocks" which is tiny in comparison... Many sites suffer with bloated plugins.
The main (albeit minified) JavaScript file is over 279K just for one JS file, with the blocks editor JS file being over 2MB! I realise that this is (hopefully) only loaded when editing a page and not on the front end, but what a size...? The main CSS file is over 290K, etc etc.
Many people get carried away with features and functions, that they basically never ever use. This slows websites down and create all sorts of compatibility problems. I love to see detailed reviews of plugins, but can you also check the "overhead" people will have to accept when they go for these "all singing - all dancing" plugins on their site. A performance checks to all your reviews please so that people can assess the overall performance hit they will take.
The standard gutenberg blocks are there for a reason. Yes, simple in many respects. But they have a minimal impact of performance. These days when Google is starting to penalise sites for performance it's so important to keep in perspective function over speed and agility with websites.
Lastly, thanks for taking the time to do this detailed review. Could do better IMHO by adding Performance, size and code efficiency to the review so that people get the full picture. Nice one mate, keep up the videos. :)

Wow thanks for the comprehensive feedback Jonathan. Much appreciated. Yeah you are right about speed being very important and is something I will definitely be sure to talk about the next time I review plugins. Now regarding the size of the files yes they are huge but the plugin tries to compensate for this by allowing you to scan and disable all blocks that are unused. You can even scan and disable any default Gutenberg blocks not used.
It's almost impossible to expect a plugin to provide so much functionality yet be very light in size.

      Hi @jonathan,
I am Founder of The Plus Blocks for Gutenberg. I want to share few points with you based on your concerns.
      1. Size of Plugin : Yes That’s 13 MB unzipped and it might even increase in upcoming future with our amazing new updates. Why we have large file size? It’s big because of multiple reasons we have more blocks than any one else also it’s modular so we have made many separate files for different purpose on top of that we have many image files inside our plugin, which is used for showcasing style layouts, some default images and so on. But, IT WILL HAVE ZERO IMPACT ON YOUR WEBSITE. Because our plugin is 100% modular and loads only required assets.
      2. Performance : I must tell you, That’s our HIGHEST PRIORITY too. We also want to give highest performance and options to build most creative sites in the market. What we did for performance? 2.1 We have modular options so you can enable/disable unrequired blocks even we have one feature for scan unused blocks and automatically disable all unused blocks. 2.2 We have inbuilt performance cache configuration, which loads per page just 1 CSS and 1 JS file in which code of blocks used on that page will combined and minified for best performance. 2.3 Gradually moving for only JS based blocks and avoid jQuery to win over render blocking. And we have even more plans. If you use it and have any suggestions kindly share, we will take immediate action on that.
      3. We have lots of SEO options and everything SEO optimised too. As, we always keep GOOGLE in mind as that’s most crucial one for our customers success.
We are having container block instead of Row block. That’s to introduce FLEX box to reduce DOM size
Now, I want to give you assurance that, If you or anyone reading this comment have any issue with performance or any bug or any suggestions, reach out to us, we work aggressively on all points.
We are always seeking constructive feedback and take immediate actions.

@@JonathanCampDesigner Sure. And wait for our next release where we are coming up with one more option for assets optimisation. Currently we have caching algorithm and which works best even if you don’t want to use caching plugin but for caching plugins we are having one alternative. Both build with purpose and different scenarios. We will share about that during next release.
We are adding so many more feature in next release which will be there in a week. Stay tuned and feel free to reach us if you need any help from our end. You can join our facebook community, We always stay there to help all our users.

Still wayyyyyyy faster than any page builder. I own a web design agency we design. Websites for some pretty decent size companies we run speed tests obviously even brizy pro and Elementor are so slow it’s not even an argument 13mb will not do anything. That’s why we use Gutenberg with block libraries

I was using the Date Sheet block of The Plus to create a table in Gutenberg, if the text in the column is too long, it will goes into the second line. How can I remove the line break and make text in the same column appear in the same line?
