We were happy to be at the end of building 6 for Skyliner access. Although it was a very rainy week so we ended up driving to the parks. At the end of the night it felt like a very long walk.
Awesome video!!! I've stayed in 50's 70's and 90's. Thankfully never 80's. I love building 10 is so easy to get to the busses and food court. Last stayed there Sept 2019 just before the skyliner opened. Staying there in May, requesting 70's
Hello Shannon great information as always. I’m subscribed to Touring Plans, and will be using their room request feature. My question is should I also request the same rooms thru the Disney app or stick with Touring Plans request ?? Thanks for any response!!🏰🏰🏰🎉🎉
We just got back 2 days ago from 8 nights at Pop Century. We were in bldg 4, chosen to be near the skyliner. We were glad we did because it was also very close for drink refills. That really paid off-so worth it BTW.. We flew so we didn't have to worry about parking but if we would have drove I think I would have chosen bldg 1-close to parking lot and drink refills!!!!
Thanks for the great video, we have been told we'll be staying in the wild world of sports resort area in pop century, is this a particular side or area of the resort?
Using this website how many times were your room requests granted? Also maybe I missed this part but how far out am I able to make a request? Thanks for the wonderful video!
Every time my request was met as best as they could. Early on, I didn’t put much in the comments and if my exact room wasn’t available they did the best they could. Now, I always put what exactly I’m looking for. Ex. 1. Ground Floor etc. This way the room assigners know what my preferences are and don’t have to guess. Since then, my rooms have been fantastic. 2 of my last 3 trips, my exact room requested was assigned.
I will once they announce a date for reopening. Right now, there’s really no point as there is no date for reopening. There are a few resorts that have reopening dates like, Poly, wilderness lodge & beach club that I will do first as they are all set to reopen later this year.
How do you request a room? When I booked before you paid more for preferred and pool view rooms, but there wasn’t space to add any other info. Then you can check in ahead of time, but again they never asked or gave room for more info. Do you just visit the front desk when you get there for more choice?
You need to watch until the end of the video. at 17:35, I start to explain how to use the Room Request Feature on TouringPlans. You have to be a subscriber. I am not sponsored by them and receive no commission from them. It's just a really great service to use (and really the only way) to request a room at Disney.
I’m in a pop century Facebook group and have seen people comment that they requested adjoining rooms and got rooms that are side by side. Just thought that I’d explain that you need to request connecting rooms to get rooms that are connected by an inner door.
@@michellereardon8477 I have a video on how to do the process. It’s called how to get the best room at Walt Disney world. Or something like that. It’s in the playlist
Unfortunately I realized after this video went live that the ending was cut-off. Not sure what happened, but sorry for the abrupt ending.
You did a great job with these…I still go to them when I am planning a trip.
Thanks so much!

This is so helpful, we are staying at POP for the first time in June.

This is a very informative, well-done series. Hadn’t considered staying at Pop before, but the price has me tempted.
Thanks so much!
Thanks so much for this video! We got almost the exact room we requested using Tourinplans
You are very welcome! We are staying at Pop next month and hope we have your good luck

Was it super busy or loud? Im going next month and want to have some idea of what to expect lol
@@voidprincess755 The main pool area was loud but our room was on the other side-so very quiet and peaceful!
@@anniecooper8051 awesome! Good to know!! I can't wait to go, I haven't been since I was a kid!
Excellent information, thank you!
These videos are really great Shannon. Thanks for making them!! You have been a great resource for our trip this summer!
Thanks so much! I’m glad you have found them helpful
This was very helpful, thanks
Thanks for the great video Shannon! How far in advance would you recommend request the room?
If using TouringPlans, as long as it's done 31 days before you check in. They send off the room request at 30 days.
Thanks for the great video, we have been told we'll be staying in the wild world of sports resort area in pop century, is this a particular side or area of the resort?
So I think they meant that Pop is near the ESPN Wide World of Sports area. It’s not an area of the resort

Can you make a best and worst rooms for Port Orleans Riverside? I know it’s not open right now but we want to stay there when it opens

Everyone can use the skyliner correct
Yes! You don’t even have to be staying at one of the Skyliner resorts. We used it to grab lunch at the Riviera one time
thank you for this video
Happy to help.
We're going in a few months. I was wondering do you know if they have non adjoining rooms? I would love that.🙂
I’m pretty sure they do, but not sure which ones. I would use the TP room request feature and list that as one of your requests
Adjoining means side by side. Connecting rooms have an internal door connecting the two rooms. They do have non connecting rooms.
I’m in a pop century Facebook group and have seen people comment that they requested adjoining rooms and got rooms that are side by side. Just thought that I’d explain that you need to request connecting rooms to get rooms that are connected by an inner door.
I booked a standard room and my only choices on the app are buildings 5 and 7 ☹️
On what app?
@@ShannonFord the Disney App. I was doing my online check in and it only gave me buildings 5 and 7 for options.
@@michellereardon8477 yea, Disney app is useless for making room requests. To make a true room request, you need to use TouringPlans
@@ShannonFord, thanks for the info. I didn’t know you can do that through touring plans.
