During LoveBite's current tour in Spain, Miyako was walking around Valencia and heard music coming from a small bar, popped her head in and was invited to come in and listen. She said "I play guitar a little", so they asked her to come jam and improvise on what sounds like an old school punk song. So in this little hole in the wall Spanish bar, you have one of the world's most talented musicians nonchalantly jamming/shredding with a bunch of Boomers in front of like 10-20 people, and she's having a blast. I would have loved to see their reactions after Googling her, LOL.
Miyako who started to playing piano at age 3 has stated that first she is a pianist. I love how this band combines classical with metal. The Maiden gallop on this one is great as well. A nice breakdown of the song.
"La Campanella" by Hungarian Romantic-era composer Franz Liszt is widely considered by professional musicians as one of the most difficult piano pieces to play. Liszt composed "La Campanella" as a transcription of a violin piece by Niccolò Paganini. The original was already renowned for its difficulty on the violin, and Liszt's adaptation elevates the challenge for pianists even further. BTW, this video was a rip from the LIVE stream of the Tokyo leg of Lovebites' "Judgement Day" tour held last year. As such, what you witnessed was raw with no post-production and yet the ladies still sounded awesome ! Having said that, the band is releasing a properly mixed LIVE LP from this very concert on August 28 called "Memorial for the Warrior Souls". This LIVE LP will be released together with their new EP "Lovebites EP II"
This song is another great example of how good they are at different styles of metal. They could play twinkle twinkle little star and melt your face off with it. Great reaction, LOVEBITES rocks! 🤘
Miyako has a short video on her official YT channel of her practicing the Liszt piece on her piano. It is a difficult piece to play, I think made even harder for Miyako due to her small hands. It is an example of her hard work and dedication that she can play it as she does.
Just as she played Chopin's revolutionary etude as a prelude to "Swan Song," she anticipated having to play the piano in her performance of "Lost In The Garden," inspired by "La Campanella," and began practicing months in advance for this difficult piece, which she abandoned while at music school.
3:35 Haruna using her double kick bass drums right from the beginning... 😁🤘 That is one aspect of her which I appreciate so deeply. And of course she _commands_ her drumset, not losing speed or a beat... 🤩
@sadaka201 I believe this is the show that they are going to release on Blu-ray when the new EP comes out so it will have some studio magic done to it before it's released. The result will be very different from what you just saw.
Beautiful song with classical influence. I don't find words to describe Asami's voice. Her voice comes from another world. Judgement Day is a great album , perfect from the first to the last second ! I'm so impatient to listen to the new EP and the new double live album with among others this song !
LOVEBITES - Lost in the Garden lyrics: Eyes blue and waving blond hair Green brooches on her chest Beauty catching the eye of everyone with no doubt
Hear pleasant sound of the harp Time passes like a wind But never bringing season with the flowers and you
Must care, love and stand by one's side to save their souls We are all complicated, delicate, adorable
Can't get close, can't even touch your fragile heart Finally we have met but you disappear I'm chasing pieces of things you left behind Somewhere inside of me still believe that you are here There is a new world that's beyond the sea And searching for the meaning of your last words
Nights giving me the loneliness It's taking breath away Drowning in this darkness, struggling out everytime
As lighted by the sunrise Breeze bringing me the peace Relief that this will be another start of the day
Words sometimes has different meanings that what's said Feelings that can't be put in words are ones that's precious

You can analyze *any* Lovebites song at *any* point in time and take it as example for anything *examplary* . Lovebites are _phenomenal_ . Since I got to know their music about a year ago, I soon realized, that I had the same feelings like when I got to know Iron Maiden in the 1980s: "Something _new_ is happening here. Another quality of Metal is started here. This is going to become _big_ ." And like Iron Maiden became legends of Metal in the course of their touring and their albums, I would almost like to predict the same for Lovebites: More and more appreciators of excellent Metal will reward them with their support and by word of mouth. In terms of musical skills, versatility and creativity, Lovebites is the best all-female Metal band in the world to me, if not _the_ best Metal band in general. I also still listen to Iron Maiden (as they, too, produced many masterpieces of Metal), but Lovebites are "a different kettle of fish". 🐺💮 GER
1:592:28 That is _art_ . If you are able to _touch_ people, to _move_ people. Be it with a painting, with music, with words, or in which way ever. Art is so fascinating. That is why I personally believe in a Big Creator who created all visible and invisible. Because I personally see so many artful aspects in nature. And as a general appreciator of art, I have a general deep respect towards _all_ artists. Like Miyako. And Iron Maiden. And J. S. Bach ("Air"!). As soon as any artist is able to actually _touch_ or even _move_ people, it does not matter to me, whether it is by a Classical piano solo, or by a Heavy Mertal song. It is _art_ .
11:37 _All of them_ can play piano. _All_ of them. (Well, more or less.) That helps them a lot during songwriting. Therefore, also Haruna and Asami can "translate" to the others, how they imagine some melody or some theme for some new song might sound, according to their imaginations. Midori, of course, could do that with any guitar.
Went to a Lovebites concert in Paris two days ago. A very cramped room with max 500 people. Hot like hell as it was 32 celsius that day in Paris. People at the front where so close they could high five with the girls : th-cam.com/video/JP4CqaaTOqE/w-d-xo.html
i was there with my wife. we were very close to Midori. but we add to go back after 30 minutes because my wife was about to collapse because of missing air and temperature. then we wen up little stairs on the left ( still 3m from Midori ). My wife got a High Five with Midori and i got a fist bump with Asami.
It's no joke , " La campanella" by Franz Liszt" it's one of the most difficult pieces to play on piano , and Miyako played this effortless like the Queen she is 🤘🐺❤️🐺🤘

Hello, greetings to all. It is a beautiful song, like all the group's, and at the same time strange and difficult to execute. She forces Asami to keep her voice at the highest pitch the entire time, and it costs her a lot, and Haruna goes over the edge too. But they come out with flying colors, like the professionals they are. And Asami's time at the piano gives a different dimension to the song. Sometimes I think that instead of performing (like almost all groups) with pre-recorded tracks, they could be a six-member group, with a girl dedicated to keyboards and synthesizers. It would be amazing.

This is one of my favourite tracks from the Judgement Day album. Give it a couple more listens and your score may improve! Note the classical style end notes, this is very much a Miyako composition. The other hidden gem on the album is Wicked Witch. It hasn't been played live yet, but there is a nice video of the band members reacting to it on the album premiere podcast. Search for Wicked Witch live and you should find it (beautiful night channel). Fami said it was her favourite album track. Thanks for this reaction, cheers.
They did play "Wicked Witch" LIVE once and that was at their last concert of their "Judgement Day" tour at Yokohama. It was the 5th track on their set. It's also one of my fav tracks on their latest LP and I wish they'd perform it more often LIVE.
@@hoges412 No, the LIVE LP they're releasing is the Tokyo leg of that tour (which was also the show they LIVE streamed). This concert in Tokyo was held just prior to the the one in Yokohama.
One of my musician friends from high school, Aaron, is a keyboardist with classical training and would play this in the choir room after school had let out. Ah, the memories. When I was working on my undergrad degree, I was in a (mainly) Nightwish cover band and he was our keyboardist. Amazing musician, but he never saw music as a profession, just a passionate hobby. I always appreciate a good gallop, and the guitar phrasing in the intro and after the first verse remind me a little of Malmsteen. Overall, I like this song, but it sounds like it’s a song that’s being played because it’s on the new album and will fall off the setlist once the new release comes out. It’s just not terribly distinct from a lot of their other songs.
To maintain high tone vocals for a long breath is already a risk. But Asami made it. This was a raw sound, still sound good to me. Anyway good reaction sis 👍
