did you guys book a tour for northern lights? or what are the other options

Yes for the 1st night we booked a tour with Nordic Odyssey. The 2nd time we saw the lights was when we stayed at Hotel Metsahirvas. This hotel is outside of the city so no light pollution. We just went out to the lake by the hotel and enjoyed the lights for free. You can download the Aurora Alert app which will send notifications when there is aurora.

I used iPhone 13 mini. Also downloaded the Night Cap app to capture the timelapse. Make sure to have a tripod as well.
