Chinese fighter jet buzzes U.S. Air Force plane in ‘unnecessarily aggressive’ maneuver

- The Pentagon released unclassified video Tuesday of what it is calling an "unnecessarily aggressive maneuver " of an U.S. Air Force warplane by a Chinese military jet.
The incident happened last Friday (5/26) but the video of the intercept over the South China Sea was released Tuesday.
The video showed the Chinese pilot crossing "within 400 feet" of the nose on the U.S. Air Force RC-135 jet. Turbulence from the close-range maneuver rocked the Air Force plane.
A statement from the U.S. Indo-Pacific Joint Force maintains the American pilots were operating over international airspace at the time

I'm not a pilot by any means but even a layman would agree that just being able to take off in a fighter jet let alone perform any type of manoeuvres requires skill, years of training and 'capabilities ' you and I don't possess .

He could have been the most mediocre fighter jet pilot that there ever was and still...easy thing to do for him. For the geographically challenged in this comment section, The South China Sea is named for its location, not who owns it. The South China Sea is part of the Pacific Ocean that is between China and Taiwan and Indonesia. The U.S. plane was in international airspace. This is an airspace where any plane from any country can fly. Why was the US reconnaissance plane there? Probably to take a look at what is going on in that part of China, since China has made threats to invade Taiwan.

In the vast majority of places (like 99% of towns/cities) there aren’t large amounts of homeless people or drug users everywhere on streets. While there are always some homeless people in any city you go to (China included) most of them mind their own business away from busy public areas or reside in shelters. That said, some very large cities, like Seattle, San Fran, Chicago, etc. have a very high homeless population, along with large drug problems and crime, however those places aren’t the norm.
As for your claim “can be more dangerous than Africa”, I’ve never once needed a bodyguard to go anywhere in the United States, whereas all my friends from South Africa had them, and I had one when I visited multiple countries in Africa. I’ve never had to deal with military coups, something Africa sees frequently. Also, purely from a statistical perspective, when adjusting for population almost every violent crime is anywhere from 1.5x-5x more frequent in Africa than the US. Please don’t lie or exaggerate when it comes to evaluating other countries, every country has its issues, and the US has plenty of them. There’s plenty to criticize and judge the US for without needing to fabricate or heavily exaggerate to get your point across.

The last time America flew their air force in Vietnam, they lost 10,000 total aircraft (which included helicopters, bombers, and jet fighters) from Vietnamese air defense. Source is from United States Government.

Countries that don’t like what the US does can provide the same security and financial aid to other nations around the world in need, like the US does more than all other nations combined. That’s leadership! The US will protect its interests and its Allies interests. Those who blame the US are usually countries with corrupt governments who use the US as scapegoats; Iran, Russia, China, North Korea. The US has made mistakes on the world stage but has done far more good for the world than any other nation has since the United States was formed as a new nation.

If an emergency happens anywhere in the world, the first country called for help is the United States. More financial aid, military aid, health aid, diplomatic aid….whatever it is. A lot of those wars, other countries asked the US to intervene. I'm not saying that we belonged in all those conflicts. Kinda like how Taiwan is looking for help against the Chinese taking hold of their country. Or how China is trying to lay claims to land in South Sea area that's in contention.
