Great unboxing, love the side camera for a detailed view of the minis. Yeah it's weird they didn't include all terrain in the 3D terrain expansion, hopefully that oversight will be rectified in the next campaign or with a good Etsy 3D model!
To be fair it depends on the terrain. Not all 'terrain' from the base game has minis either. The only one I would expect a mini for without knowing what the others do would be the jungle brush from the feather expansion, but I guess you could always use a standard brush mini for that. I can't tell but the ice could be sheets of ice and the swamp could just be a pool of goop, so similar to the fire and sand tokens not really needing minis.
I just got the second box and its great! Love everything that came with it save for a few gripes. The Xitheros' art is fanatstic and oddly horrifying. The colora, along with the small snout and gaping maw really does seem a bit scary, but the mini itself is just a T-Rex woth a normal sozed snout. Really killed that one for me, even if it is kinda small. Also, the other monster in rhe nightmare box, the fked up bunny monster, i hate that there are 2 versions you can fight with 2 different colors. I get that its kinda cool, but WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO IF I WANT TO PAINT IT? Do i go blue or purple? It's ridiculous! Just give me an extra model!
Glad you were able to get the 2nd box and have everything now!! Yeah for me I'm just enamored with the models, but the storage is killing me. It seems impossible to consolidate everything down :(. I agree that the 2 different bunny monsters idea was cool, but not really functional to paint. Maybe do a combo like its changing colors from blue to purple?
Yes, if you sleeved all the cards in the game, they would not be able to all fit in thier respective boxes. So they decided to make a separate box that will hold all sleeved cards. I just finished sleeving everything this morning and it's great to have all the cards in one place, but annoying that another box is added now to play the game
@@gamingwiththepowers Drat! I see there was an update saying that. I pledged at $1 then upgraded when the survey went out but would never get notified about the updates, otherwise I would have definitely added that. Oh well, still very cool you did that! I'm impressed.
@dennissmith7588 gotcha! Yeah I hate that when you do that sometimes you never get updates. Honestly looking back now you really only need to sleeve the core box stuff. I don't see the expansions getting a ton of play time unless being used in a 1 shot scenario.
I dont like you. You got 2 primal box. I got 0 primal box. Have you played the monster hunter board game. I have that and love it. How does this compare?
I'm very sorry to hear you haven't received anything yet. Trust me this is one of the few Kickstarter projects I actually got before others. Most of the time I am waiting just like you. I have not played the monster hunter board game, but from what I have seen, the difference between Primal and Monster Hunter is there is no "hunting" the monster around the board. In Primal, you read a page from the campaign book that matches the chapter you are on (1-12), choose a quest, open the campaign book to the scenario page, set up the scenario, choose your equipment and then battle the monster. How does monster hunter work?
@@gamingwiththepowers the obvious difference is that there's movement around the board. And that let's you tactically get around the monster to break off its body parts. That changes what items you get and how they monster responds to the hunter
there is absolutely no way that you can play all of that content specially when having so many other board games, if you had just gotten into the hobby and that was like your fifth board game and made you it a rule for yourself to not buy anything else until you finish that whole box, well, then maybe? but with how many board games you have I don't see how you could play through all that content, but I wish you all the best trying 👍
Actually we have been playing it pretty consistently. We have a campaign going that we play about once every 2 weeks, as well as a community campaign on the channel.
@@gamingwiththepowers I commend you for that, and I wish I had such a dedicated gaming group myself, but just out of curiosity, at that pace, how long would you reckon it would take you to play through all of that content?
Yeah it seems like with most Kickstarter games EU always seems to be the lowest priority. Have you guys heard any updates? I know Reggie Games said because of the red seas issues it would be a few months before EU got anything
@@gamingwiththepowers It's going to be around June time for the EU for this game sadly according to the last update. I have had a few KS fulfill here before the US recently like 7th Citadel, Robinson Crusoe, Agemonia, Fox Experiment

I believe the Mount Havoc campaign stuff is a much smaller mini campaign (3 quests vs the 12 of the normal campaign)

All the dividers came in the core box
