Thank you for the video! I bought my ticket from milan centrale to mxp terminal 1. I am a bit confused. Is malpensa express the same as regionale trenord? Or these are 2 separate train lines? Thanks.
It's actually part of the train line run by Trenord. When buying a ticket on the machine then we'll use the Trenord machine then select the Malpensa Express. Trenord runs train lines in the Regionale Lombardia area.

Excellent video, very helpful! Thank you. Do you know if the trains to/from Malpensa and Milano Centrale run all night? And what's the train app you used? TY!
Thank you, glad to heart this video is helpful. Last train leaves Malpensa at 23.56 while last one leaves Centrale at 23.25 but I wouldn't suggest being at the Centrale Station around that hours, better take the Taxi I guessed. I'm using the TrainLine app.
Your video is very helpful. We're arriving from USA at 9:30 am Terminal 1 and going to Milano Centrale. How long does it take to get to the Malpensa Train station? We need to go through customs and get our luggage? And are seats usually available or should I buy in advance through Trainline? Grazie.
Customs and luggage time are always tricky to predict, been picking up guests from Malpensa this month and it was packed. Likely it takes almost an hour to pass throughout both processes. Seats on the Malpensa Express are not assigned so first in get the seats. Better to buy the tickets once you are cleared customs and get your luggage. The train leaves every hour. I hope this helps. Have a great time in Milan and always be mindful of your surroundings and belongings.
How long does the train stop at every station? Also do I need to buy the ticket online or can I just buy it on the spot? I’m an international student shifting to Milan soon, so I’ll have a lot of luggage, was wondering if the malpensa express is a good option
Ticket can be bought either from app like TrainLine or Trenitalia ticket machine/counters. Depends on how much luggage you have, as you will need to take a good care of them. Taxi might sound as an option as well sometimes. Train stops around 5 minutes on each in between station.
If you buy a ticket from Milano Centrale to Ferno (€ 5.00 in second class) and a ticket from Ferno to Malpensa T1 (€ 3.00) you save compared to the ticket from Milano Centrale to Malpensa (€ 13.00). There is no need to get off/on in Ferno
There's also Malpensa express that goes to Cadorna, you can buy ticket from the machine or just asked the official in the airport train station to help you. Ticket cost the same €13. I hope this helps

Hi, I will be travelling to Milan late April and I will be planning to take the train from Malpensa to Milano Centrale. Would you recommend buying the train tickets days before my trip or can I just buy them once I land at Malpensa. Some people told me to buy them days or weeks before my trip because the lines might be long and so that I can secure a seat in the train.
Hi, the lines on the ticket counter and ticket machine could be a bit long but nothing to be worried about, because the train leaves every hour or so. Tickets don't come with dedicated seat numbers as the first seat available to the first one arrived. Buying tickets days early might give a bit of peace of mind, still you have to arrive early to grab a seat and a spot for luggage on the train.

Last direct train from Milano Centrale to Zurich leaves at 19.10, there are options for later train but you will have more than one transit and it will arrive the day after anyway. You can check for options on OBB train website and also Trenitalia website. I hope this helps a bit.

Yes, I'm going there tomorrow. Very informative. Thank you. I will be in Milan for 5 days, what sim card would you recommend for data mostly? Thank you. 👍🏼👍🏼
There are plenty of SIM card options, if you are looking for broader coverage you can go with TIM. While other cards such WIND or ILIAD offer cheaper and more internet quota
@@StrollingAround thank you 👍🏼
What is the app to buy the tickets on the phone?
I use Trainline app to buy the ticket
Thanks for that vid! Any information on how long does it take to get from arrivals area to the actual train?
Give or take once you are exiting the gate to the arrival it will be less than 10 minutes, if you take the elevator it may take time as sometimes people are lining up for their turns. Thank you so much for watching 😊.
Hello, thanks for your videos. May I know what's the best train line apps to use in Milan? Thanks before. :)
You are welcome and thank you for stopping by, now for train app personally I use both TrainLine and Omio for most of my trips.
Hello. Do you have someone vídeo from Centrale station to Como? By the way. Thanks for the videos. They help us very much.
Glad to hear this video helps, so sorry I have been meaning to make a Milan to Como trip seems works always gets in the middle of the opportunity. I don't have a specific suggestion on video but you can always look up on TH-cam. I'll let you know once I made Como trip video. Thank you so much for stopping by.
Useful - thanks
Glad it was helpful, thank you for watching
Thank you for the video! I bought my ticket from milan centrale to mxp terminal 1.
I am a bit confused. Is malpensa express the same as regionale trenord? Or these are 2 separate train lines? Thanks.
It's actually part of the train line run by Trenord. When buying a ticket on the machine then we'll use the Trenord machine then select the Malpensa Express. Trenord runs train lines in the Regionale Lombardia area.
So smart! 🙏
Where to buy the train ticket
Excellent video, very helpful! Thank you. Do you know if the trains to/from Malpensa and Milano Centrale run all night? And what's the train app you used? TY!
Thank you, glad to heart this video is helpful. Last train leaves Malpensa at 23.56 while last one leaves Centrale at 23.25 but I wouldn't suggest being at the Centrale Station around that hours, better take the Taxi I guessed. I'm using the TrainLine app.
@@StrollingAround Grazie mille!
Thanks. Ciao.
Once you clear customs, how many minute walk to the train?
@@sambuffalo2839 around 10 minutes walk you can reach the train station in Malpensa Airport
@@StrollingAround I’ll be carrying 3-4 suitcases, which is something I’m a lil worried about. Thank you so much ❤️

Can you get return ticket? Is it cheaper if you do so?
Yes you can, it's cheaper for the same day ticket is €20 round trip.
Cadorna állomásra szeretnék eljutni a repülőtérről a Malpensa Expresszel. Segítenétek?
There's also Malpensa express that goes to Cadorna, you can buy ticket from the machine or just asked the official in the airport train station to help you. Ticket cost the same €13. I hope this helps
Informative video! Thanks.
Is there any alternative to go to Milan central other than Train?
Thank you so much and yes you can take the airport shuttle from Malpensa to Centrale station, I do have that video as well here on my channel. th-cam.com/video/OxhVChl3VWk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=GKb2oxSLXUy0Vfp8
@@StrollingAround Awesome! Do you know a good and affordable hotel near to the milano central train station/ bus station? Will be going there by the end of the month.. 🙏👌
Done subscribed! 😍
@@Thetruckcode There are tons of nice affordable hotel around Centrale station, Look up at GoogleMaps and try to look for stretch of street Via Napo Toriani for plenty of hotel options very walkable even with luggage from Centrale station. Bus stations located out of city center, I would suggest to stick somewhere near central station for more and better options.
@@Thetruckcode awesome, thank you so much
Please do you have any tips on budget hotels around Milano Centrale - hoping, praying to visit this coming October 2024 🤞🏽 everything that am looking at is so pricey OR have bad reviews.😢
So many options to choose from hostel to 5 stars hotel, will do my best to make a video specific about it.
this is a very good video
It's very of you, thank you so much.
hello, excuse me, I have a question, I got the ticket on the web, it says that I arrive at Milan central at 11:37 and at 11:58 I have another from Milan central to Rome, do I have time? Does anyone check that the ticket has the correct schedule? Or can I take some before?
Trains are on the same level in Centrale, if all goes on time in schedule it should be ok but it tight. Better if you could find another schedule with more ample time
Great video! How do you validate train ticket if you have it only in your mobile phone? You dont have to print it out on paper?
Ticket bought from mobile apps or online through website does not need any validation process. Thank you so much for watching.
@@StrollingAround thank you for the answer!🙂
Hi thank you fr the video everything I needed! If I buy the ticket from trenitalia web site than I don't need to validate the ticket before entering the train? I am so afraid of being fined...
Hi, glad to know you found this video helpful. You're right, ticket bought from web doesn't need to be validated. Have fun in Milan and stay mindful with your belongings and surroundings.
@@StrollingAround Thank you so much once again! ❤️
from t2 how to take train to centrale
Malpensa Express goes to Centrale also from T2 then T1 before making a couple of brief stops to the final stop at Centrale Station. Ticket costs €13
Are there assigned seats or can you sit anywhere?
There's no assigned seat, means you are free to sit anywhere. Thank you so much for watching.
Can.i buy tickets from ticket counter??? rather than buying on app??? kindly suggest....
Yes of course, you can also buy on ticket machine as well. Remember to validate your ticket before you board the train

When taking train from Malpensa Airport to Milan Centale and buying ticket on the Trainline App, Do you need to validate the ticket, if so how do youdo this?
Yes you have to, there's a Check In button when you open your ticket on the TrainLine app. Click it and just follow with a couple of Next button taps. I have a new video coming in just a couple of hours where you can see more details
Thank you
You're welcome
Thank you so much! I’m a little bit nervous travelling to Italy alone. I’m travelling to 4 major cities (Milan, Florence, Rome and Naples) and your videos are very informative for me. I will continue to watch them. @@StrollingAround
@@lpineda1331 just enjoy your trip, still be aware of yourself, surrounding and belongings. There are couple of my videos also about Florence and Rome, more is coming up this weekend. Wish you the best trip in Italy.
If I book a ticket online for a timed train in advance and our flight is delayed is that ticket transferable to a later train? Thanks.
What should I do to get to Politecnico Di Milano after getting off at the 3rd stop?
You can just get off from Malpensa Express at Milano Bovisa, the Politecnico is about 3 minutes walk. Bovisa is the 3rd stop from Malpensa, right after Saronno.
@@StrollingAround thank you for interest. Can you videotape this process?
is Malpensa Express available in the late hours of the night? 00:00 to 01:00?
If you look at their time table the last train leaves at 23.50
@@StrollingAround so is there any other way that late at night to go to the central station other than a taxi
@@altiso no other options, and I do think better to take Taxi considering you will arrive very late in city center. If you are staying in Milan I'd suggest go directly to your hotel or apartment than heading to Centrale to continue your journey.

On 10th May 24, i will be at Melpansa Airport at 21:00 Hrs. Journey destination is Zurich , but no flight until next day evening. So can someone help me plan, if any train option available for Zurich? And for that do i have to travel by train to central station first and from there another train for,Zurich? What are train frequency, timing's etc, any and each genuine help would be blessings 🙏🏻
Last direct train from Milano Centrale to Zurich leaves at 19.10, there are options for later train but you will have more than one transit and it will arrive the day after anyway. You can check for options on OBB train website and also Trenitalia website. I hope this helps a bit.
Thank you for responding. Will check it out
the pickpockets are not a big problem in Milan as you think and they are all foreign people not italians
I would still prefer to keep reminding everyone to be more aware of the surroundings and keep more eyes on their belongings as part of staying away from problems and unfortunate events during their travel.
@@StrollingAround Of course, they are useful tips for all travelers who are in crowded places anywhere in the world. But who knows why they are given only to those traveling in Italy, perhaps because they are repeated by the same automatic ticket machines, thus giving the impression to foreigners that pickpockets exist only in Italy.
@@StrollingAround you wrote about the "notorious" pickpockets, but it's youtubers like you who make people think there are "notorious" pickpocket in Milan Central station. You all tend to copy & repeat always the same stuff.
There are some pickpockets in the metro. Usually they are underage pregnant girls from Eastern Europe who stay in Milan for some time and then flee to another country/city, but there are no swarms of "notorious" pickpockets waiting for passengers.
@@darioa.5381 Simply telling the fact that there are tons of notorious and even worst systematic operation of pickpockets. Simply targeting tourist and elder Italians. I have to say that not all foreigners are all pickpocketers, there are specific categories of people who do this thing

Very good. Note that 'Luggage' can be used as singular or plural. (Not Luggages!).

Do children under 10 need to purchase tickets?
Yes, children 4 -13 years old need to buy a children ticket for half the price at €6.50
If I buy two tickets on the app (one for myself and one for my wife) do I just need to show both on one app or do we both need one?
You can buy directly tickets for two people just remember to put your name when you buy the ticket from the the app
@@StrollingAround Great thank you! And one more question if you would be so kind. Can you use the Milano Card 3 day pass with the Malpensa Express train or is this different?
what is the app called?
Hi, which app did you use?
When you buy with the app, how do you scan the ticket/bar code?
When we buy train tickets from the app we don't need to manually validate the ticket, it will then checked and scanned by the train conductor on board. Different story if you bought Metropolitan and public transportation ticket with ATM app then you have to press manually on the app to validate.

In Cadorna is still not availaboe instead..it hasnt been for Years.. Am i right?
