Hi! After the one year registered agent expires, can I renew again? Will you guys notify me?
I just moved to Florida I’m trying to get it all hooked up
Yes, you will be notified by Northwest and given the option to keep your service or cancel.
Thanks for the question!
All of this is exceptionally simple. She makes it sound difficult.Skip the middleman and just go to the government and create an l l c
Personally, when I started my own LLC, I paid Northwest $29 to do it for me because my time was/is worth more than that to me.

This is the best. I created one and had no idea how to manage it so had to close it. Probably won’t do another. Too confusing.

Can you provide information on the steps to doing a Plan of Conversion for moving my business from another state to Florida?
Thanks for the question.
LLC owner's looking to convert their business will need to follow these general steps:
1. Verify the current state allows conversions/domestication.
2. File Articles of Amendment/Certificate of Amendment in the current state to update to the new business address.
3. Get a Certificate of Good Standing from the current state.
4. File Articles of Conversion/Domestication for both the state the LLC is registered in and the new state.
5. Then, unless the business owner plans on operating in both states, they can dissolve their LLC in the original state.
For some business owners, these steps are too time consuming and technical. If you find yourself needing help and also not wanting to pay an attorney, Northwest Registered Agent can help at an affordable price: go.truic.com/3PAsy1O.
Note: States typically have separate forms for domestic LLCs looking to convert to a foreign LLC and foreign LLCs looking to convert to a domestic LLC. So, if a business is trying to convert their LLC to Florida, they'll need to file the state's conversion documents to change an "other business entity" (i.e., the currently-foreign entity) into a Florida LLC., and they'll also need to file in their current state to change (The State) LLC into a foreign entity.
Отличная работа 😊
Thank you!

Forming the LLC with all thf legal required documents is simple, the zoning steps and paperwork process to obtain a business license is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT! I am going through the zoning process now just to have a popup kiosk to sell ice cream cones utside somebody else's establishment and IT! IS! ONE! GREULING! ENDLESS PROCESS!!!
We're with you on that. Food licensing is challenging.
Have you explored business licensing services? I know we have partners that help with licensing starting at $99.
Might be that your situation requires more that that but if they could do it for $99, that seems like it would save you a lot of stress and make room for focusing on some other part of starting your business.

Great advice. Make sure you list yourself as "Mgr" or bank won't let you open a business account.
This is a good tip if you aren't looking to maintain a high degree of privacy. For those needing privacy, there are banks that allow you not to list managers on the formation documents.
@HowtostartanllcOfficial Bank of America is not one of them. They refused to allow me to open a business checking account, even though I have been a customer with them for over 20 years.
Thanks for sharing. Chase is the same, and many credit unions. Did you have to amend your articles of organization?
@HowtostartanllcOfficial Yes I did. Took FL a couple of weeks to update.
That's a huge pain, thanks for sharing your experience and best of luck to you and your business.
Thank You You are awesome and Thank Again😃 I did’t think it was this straight forward Big Thank You ❤
You're so welcome!! Thanks for watching.
Are these the same steps for a “single member LLC”? Where you are the owner and also the only employee of the LLC? I currently work online as an account manager, and I did not like the benefits. So I’m switching from employee to contractor, 1099 to EIN, so I can get benefits through my own LLC. I’m told it’s cheaper and more beneficial than 1099 to SSN (sole proprietor) but I’ve never done it before.
Yes, this applies to to single-member LLCs also.
Sole proprietors don't get tax breaks.
That said, if your business is you providing a service that you get paid a good amount for (like 60k and up), then LLC taxed as an S corp is the way to go.
What about business grants for women? Older women? Do you have a video for this? Would like to start an online business. Thank you 😊

Yes, at this time Florida allows "authorized representatives" to sign LLC docs, etc.

Can an LLC formed in another state operate in Florida? If so, are there any steps needed to transition to FL?
Thanks for the question.
Yes, you can transition the LLC as a "foreign" Florida LLC.
But we need to ask: are you planning on keeping the other LLC open?
No
Sorry we missed your reply!
In that situation, most business owners would choose to dissolve the current LLC and open a new one in Florida.
To keep a foreign LLC in operating in Florida, there would need to be a domestic LLC in another state.

Is there any benefits for someone who has a physical disability to start a LLC?
It does not appear that there are any additional benefits for physical disability in the State of Florida when registering an LLC.
But, just in case, we recommend calling or emailing the state to inquire:
LLC new filings: 850.245.6052 or email at NewFilingsCorpHelp@DOS.MyFlorida.com

I want to start a SDVOB. Can you help? Disabled veteran here
First, thank you for your service.
And yes, we can help guide you to the right resources for starting a small business and an SDVOB.
Where are you in the process so far? Have you already started a business? If not, do you have a business idea in mind?
@@HowtostartanllcOfficial have not started the process. I’m in information technology so my business will target government contracts
Sounds good. The first step for SDVOB certification is to register here: veterans.certify.sba.gov/
There's a red "register" button just underneath the first paragraph of text.
Once you register, you'll be asked a series of questions regarding whether you are a vet and whether you are a disabled vet and then you'll start the "pre-assessment". The application seems pretty straightforward.
As for the business entity and taxes...
A lot of freelance contractors choose to form an LLC and be taxed as an S Corp. The LLC protects their personal assets and the S Corp helps them save on self-employment taxes. Contractors find S Corp helpful because they tend to have less expenses and a high profit margin given they are essentially THE business.
I can walk you through the steps for that. Please let me know if you'd like more help.
Thanks for watching and please like and subscribe!
@@HowtostartanllcOfficial thanks 🙏
Anytime, best of luck.
Actually why would anyone pay for something that they can do without you or another company?
A lot of times, people pay for things that they could do for themselves but don't want to. Convenience, time...
For example, we'd prefer to pay $29 to have someone else form an LLC for us. But some small business owners might need that to cover materials for business cards or a web domain-- so they form an LLC on their own.
I have more than ones open a corporation and a llc, An llp in fl as for myself to explain my company's
Nice!
Hello ou sont mes 29 objets payer depuis le mois fevrier
Avez-vous demandé une LLC pour 29 $ en février ?
Registered Agent ?? The way you describe it. This has to be an “Outside” person. The way you describe it. It cannot it be someone in the company? Makes no sense.
Thanks for the feedback!
To clarify, the registered agent can be anyone 18 or older, and a resident of the state, that's always available during normal business hours at one specific address to receive service of process (legal summons).
Many small business owners choose to give that job to a service, but you don't have to.
I'll pass your feedback along to our producers, thanks again!
Good point!
Not all small businesses need to have a registered agent, just small businesses that are set up as LLCs or corporations.
@@HowtostartanllcOfficial As a LLC and have been for decades I never had one However members of the LLC have been listed in certificate
