I like this ending. She ditched a toxic boyfriend and social group. Had the faith to leap into the darkness and follow the path of sobriety alone and landed next to friend. Great ending
Alan Tudyk is a genius. “What are you doing here? IT’S SO GOOD TO SEE YOU!” 😆 I’m pretty sure the look on Sandra’s face after he burst into tears again was genuine cuz it was hilarious😆
Im in rehab now and they showed me this film recently. It was such a beautiful ending and this dude SOLD IT... such a TALENTED actor. I love him and all his work. Definitely needs to be paid more absolutely.
Hey I know this post was a year ago, but I just wanted to say, I’m proud of you for going into rehab. I hope you’re doing great and your journey and recovery are amazing. Reach out if you need anything. 💕🍀
This movie is in my top 10 & 100% completely underrated, just like alot of Sandra Bullock's movies are. I think she's one of the better actresses we have! But if you happen to have a chance to watch it again...take a big notice on how Gerhardt (Alan Tudyk) is literally improving 95% of the movie! He use to do some Stand-Up Comedy until a man from the audience threatened to literally kill him. Sandra honestly couldn't help but laugh literally out loud 0:51! If you get a chance to rewatch...pay attention to the 95% improve professional he was gifted with!!
I watched this movie back before Firefly came out or I had heard of Alan Tudyk. I just assumed it was some cute and funny German actor. Out of nowhere I wanted to watch this scene again and OMG!
I love that they're trying to stay sober, following the steps they were shown and they have each other that understands what they're both doing through.
This movie didn't get the appreciation it deserved. Of course, I love Sandra Bullock but Alan Tudyk nailed the part of the neurotic yet lovable friend we've all had at least once in our lives. 🙂
Dutch would later work as a bodyguard for a lone man named Simmons who was betrayed by his country while fighting against invading alien transforming robots.
I love and hate that this is true, lol. Dude goes from "look at my package" to "that was the old me". I can't wait for Gwen Cummings, Autobots, and G.I. Joe to fight Deceptions, Cobra and Jason Voorhees in the future, haha.
We watched this in my substance abuse class and when the teacher said we were watching 28 days I mixed it up with 28 days later. So 20 mins in I asked the guy next to me when do the zombies show up and he laugh and told me it was the wrong movie.
PERFECT closure for a self-contained movie...NOTHING I could see in there that would warrant a sequel. Let alone one where they decide to turn the franchise into being about the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse.

The ending music as well as it being the movie's theme, reminds me of victory in whatever you put your heart into succeeding! Love this movie!
I LOVE THIS MUSICAL PIECE💜💜 wish I could find it somewhere
