sounds like a duet
NosnhoB_NahteB it should be so that someone else could try to play this
That high G. If I ever write a bassoon concerto, I know what I'll be adding to the hardest passage. :D
He can play the highest G on the piano (G7 if middle C is C4)
The A-flat7 too :)
Try A7
Working on it!
Found a B-flat! th-cam.com/video/big3zwNB-h4/w-d-xo.html
Are you kidding me? This is a very difficult piece. My my...the bass clef to Tenor in the middle ...then back to bass clef. Beautifully executed....technically flawless! Wow loved it.
TMEA Bassoon All State etude 6 be like
The sheer difficulty of this makes me glad I only have to play the piano version.
piano version is not that easy
Piano version is a nightmare
dexter morgan he was joking
weird flex but ok
I just play it on TH-cam. Easy peasy 😜
Measure 99 had me In actual tears
Kayla Kerstetter that is a very large measure
I’ve been playing bassoon for about six years, how the hell can you play those octave jumps so fast, and without cracking? I am in awe, nice job sir.
Practice scales but doing several octaves pops on each note then gradually speed them up it helps a lot
Don't feel too bad. I've been playing for about 50 years and I still can't do that kind of stuff.
the first minute i was like "oh thats not that hard, idk why everyone is saying it is" and then i watched the rest of the video oop
3:14 am I the only one expecting Mission Impossible theme song to drop??
Holy shit. I just switched from alto sax to bassoon yesterday, and it's really fun. But how is this even possible?!?!
I just switched from trombone and I can only play 3 songs. This is impossible
Random Person Lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of practice. Lots and lots and lots and lots.
Lots of practice and double tonguing- damn I love bassoon
I’ve been playing for 5 years now, this just looks like pain, pure physical and mental pain
After playing the bassoon for almost 3 years now, I can surely say you almost can’t, it’s not even worth trying anymore.
1:58 I ALMOST HAD A HEART ATTACK!!! HOLLYY!!
I can't even find the right words after listening the whole piece so I'm just gonna go with BRILLIANT!
Flattering Angela, happy to hear you like it!
Brilliant. And I don't read music very well, so it was fascinating and fun having the score to try and follow you.
I failed. :)
Martin Hatchuel try maybe 0.5 or 0.25 speed
You are just too good for this world.
on those high notes it sometimes sounds like their playing a violin
@Pancake - Chan Yeah I'm thinking more sax

@@tangysbodaciouschannel427 lol if you wanna correct someone make sure you are correct
Breath control is insane, this is very impressive. So hard those trill and beautiful octave in piano, I've heard this piece on classical guitar, piano, but bassoon is first, just wow.
I've played bassoon for 6 years and oh my god I've never been this speechless in my entire life.. You are briliant
Outstanding !
WHAT
this is truly spectacular, i had no idea bassoons could do stuff like this
I play bassoon, and I don't even know how to go through fingerings this fast because fingerings for notes are super funky on bassoon. Especially in the upper range when your moving your left thumb between the various thumb keys.
Thanks for this superb work. This will make a great example for my Orchestration studies.
Great performance and an excellent arrangement. Your high G was very clean! Bravo
Suspiciously clean.
Your playing at 'Animato' at m.133 is just superb. The phrasing is so clear. I am in awe of your technique. and your breathing!
I'm in awe.
Ah yes, nothing like that bassoon bell sound!
WOWOW, what an incredible performance. Faultless - and yet such an incredibly difficult piece. I am truly amazed by such a virtuosic performance.
Truly astonishing skill. Awesome arrangement and performance!
Fantastic. Good job 👍👍👍 respect
I remember watching this on a different account a couple years back and I didn’t watch it for a while but I listen to this piece almost every day now
how in the fuck is this humanly possible jfc
Utatane You're in all music videos of youtube. Bassooon is TOP
I think I just came
Wow!! Excelentissimo!
This cellist's mind=BLOWN
So good that I did not realize that it is pitched down a half step.
A bit of beauty in my ears
Wow! Impressive!
Stunning 😯 & brave. Well done. Not an easy task...❤️
NEW GENERATION MOZART
this made me thankful for classical saxophone, and my cadenzas can kill.
Woooooooooooooow... incredible work!!!
I think I'm gonna buy your book to practice with in college next year. This is very amazing.
Hope you will enjoy the book, and all the best with your studies!
Wow I'm gonna start playing bassoon again. That seems so impossibly hard but it sounds so good
😂😂😂 I'm in awe.... In some places the bassoon almost sounds as if it aspires to become a violin. I'm struggling with beginners lessons (enjoying it throughly), and I cannot imagine how it is even possible to play like that. Thanks😊
I’ve been playing basson for 4 years and I’m part of the Boston Youth Symphony and even the Bassoon director claims you sold your soul to Satan in order to play this
Deslumbrante!!!!!!
O fagote é capaz de executar intervalos tão distantes; difícil e fazê-lo com maestria, como temos aqui, isso é incrível.
He put in trills that weren't marked just to flex on us plebian bassoonists.
Congratulations! It’s incredible!
Your technique is astonishingly good!! An excellent arrangement to pair with it, as well. God bless and keep up the good work :))
holy shit this is so amazing
Was that a double trill on the high D-Eb?
+Richard Bobo Yes, trilled with both hands on the high Eb-key like crazy!
I swear every bassoon Video I’ve watched Richard has beat me to it
McHenry Maney lol
If the piece is in G minor, why isn't the key signature 2 flats?
Hey man very impressive! I'm wondering, just to learn more about the abilities of the Bassoon, are there any other keys that this arrangement would work in?
Bravo!!
how is this possible good job!
Now the double bass must play this. Lets work. Bravo man!!!
bravissississississimo.
I love it.
Your channel is amazing! Congrats!
Wow!
Stunning and Brave 😳🙀❤️
Amazing
Amazing.
You did it!!!! :D Awesome man!!
Hey Kristian, I'm curious as where you got your bassoon and how much you paid for it. I'm interested in getting my own Bassoon in the future and I was hoping you could help me a bit, thanks and great upload keep it up.
I'm playing on a Moosmann model 200, however me and Moosmann have been experimenting a lot with my bassoon and its technique. Detailed info can be see here: www.kristianomaronnes.com/main-bassoon
Flight of the Bumblebee is quaking
Very impressive!
bravo!!!!!
Congrats!! So criative!
Inspirational!!
Great job
I've been having trouble getting that G at the end to come out on my Fox 220. Any tips?
Isn't the high note hard to play? The note in the end was really high.
This is the high note guy we're talking about :) If you think this is hard, check out the rest of his channel. He can play higher than me, and I'm a flute player.
bravo👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Wow the last note
WOW
Crazy Viking!
Starting to learn this piece on bassoon and is NOT FUN! mad respect to the guy playing this.
Impressive that your learning it, how long have you been playing?
How ? Freak , amazing !
what the ffuck 👀 wowwwwwww 🤩 the sheer amount of work
I’m in eighth grade and play the bassoon and this makes me want to cry. First of all: where can I get a bassoon that good and second: where can I get that reed?!?😂 Honestly I squeak all the time and this just blows my mind
Congratulation with over 10.000 views!!...Skål!...
Filip Sande Thanks a lot Filip! Skål!
Very nice.
Holy crap!
Insane...
How many clefs can this basoonist read?
Yes
All
This is unbelievable! Amazing skill! But some parts sound like a dying goose but it's just the nature of the song and the instrument I guess XD
Oh my god this is so amazing, I play oboe but wanna play bassoon this is just beautiful!!!
super
Brilliant performance and arrangement. The only exception, in my non-bassoonist opinion, is the high D-Eb trill at 3:16, which was too fast and very uneven. I think the previous written alternations between D and Eb were sufficient and the high D could have just been sustained.
Awesome job buddy! I have been so out of touch, I need to check your stuff out! ( I didn’t make it to the IDRS, I wish I could have).
That g at the end wtf
Do you have a version with piano accompaniment?
3:15 sounds like death 💀
wow..and im a trumpet palyer..lol now im a bassoon fan!!!!!...still a trumpet player tho
Qual é o segredo para ter um bom estacato?
I LOVE IT!!!!!!!
i love 5:12
I'm curious as to why he choose the key signature of 1 flat when the piece is clearly in the key of G minor.......
Excellent! But... I can’t help but find a little bit of irony in the fact that a bassoon is playing a piece entitle “little bell.”
new fear unlocked
