Played my first game of b-pong the other day testing out lists for adepticon. Being new to playing ITS missions and fairly novice to infinity in general, I enjoyed it quite a bit.

@thedicegodswg both my opponent and myself used lists I made, so in sense I did. In actuality I lost 😆

As regards the Tactical Support Deck, I think its the germ of a good mechanic but needs refinement. I think they're testing it out in the ITS Mission Pack much like how they've tested out other rules changes in the past like Combat Jump not using a template, TAG's getting the Tactical Awareness Order and TAG Weapons having +1DMG which were all later incorporated into the core rules.
Primarily I think using the cards like this was an attempt to get them used in regular games and not just in the Resilience Ops missions, to add more value to the cards as it were. I don''t think its to onerous a mechanic for the start of the game as they're not used in all missions and they're like drawing a Classified Objective which people thought would also add too much bookkeeping and be very swingy but players adapted.
Lets see how it works in tournament games that use those missions where they're present and perhaps they'll adjust the table results for the next ITS pack.

As a long-time disapprover of Booty, pulling random junk from Panoplies, and other such random boni from lists that run from 'super-cool' to 'absolute trash', Speedball already felt like a bit of a step in the wrong direction; Tactical Support seems like an even bigger concerted effort to pull Infinity from the thoughtful, decision-led game I thought I started playing years ago. Don't get me wrong - you can always have random results with dice, and you need that to avoid 'perfect play' bullshit! But there's probabilities that you can mitigate with good play - pick the right unit for the right job, stack situational modifiers against your opponent and so on - and there's probabilities that waltz in and announce "hey, you know this 12-point ABH who needs to be in short range to do anything useful? Well, they're basically invisible now. What did you get? A DA CC weapon? Um. Nice?"
I like the idea of this kind of thing in theory, but - without having tried it yet - drawing them at random feels bad enough; having them also selected from such an eclectic list of situational abilities of varying power just seems daft. I'd prefer to see something like a draft of X*3 cards, with a Legion-style points-underspend bid to get the first pick. Have people choose between that WarCor or first pick of Tactical Support, for example.
