Yea I told my friend to buy serato because he never bought the software because his controller came with Serato. But when he went to go to a club with CDJs and pioneer mixer he was screwed, his computer showed he never bought the actual software. I recorded everyone but the software in case you run into this issue
Serato is a software company from New Zealand. Prior to being distributed by Rane (who also made the original hardware AV conversations SL1, SL2) their primary product was Pitch N Time. This was/is the best studio time stretching software. That’s the reason PNT is world class. The horse laughing made me laugh, does that mean you watch Scotty?
@@NickSpinelli got it in the spring and got a bit frustrated with it. I found Crossfader put out a 6 part series on TH-cam on how to use studio. I’ve been tinkering around with it since. Somewhat easy use, but still learning it.
Do you know anything about the Sl4 with Serato dj pro. Audio issues after playing a few songs every time on Mac Off balance. Lag, changes from perfect to cannot mix anymore…….Is DVS needed to use turntables with Sl4 still Nothing works properly. Tried all OS and version of software
my choice install 2.6 (free) and add play / video and fx extensions you now have a great feature rich 4 deck dj / vdj system a great laptop system and at a price which is affordable even for a first entry to being a dj the master audio is routed through the standard Mac audio system as such you can use the laptop speakers or even a high end audio interface or through a daw and sink with link, audio monitoring headphones / main audio output requires a dj splitter cable this supplies l/r output to headphones in mono and main audio output l/r to speakers or mixer , also in mono , you do not have deck1 and deck 2 audio outputs (not supported) the choice and routing of audio monitoring or direct main mix output are choices , either or not both , upgrading software ie new version / beta or upgrading to pro all extensions still are fully functioning and supported , it is claimed the the dvs extension is also but without certified hardware ? audio options and midi are not available even upgrading to pro nothing changes with out certified hardware, I tried these are locked to hardware,

P N' T is very handy and Flip is a must buy. Sometimes Serato runs a special on their plug-ins (Flip-$19?). Another great flip feature is the ability to record/recall presses of the 'censor' button. Turns a dirty version into clean with a little practice. If you have Q's about it let me know!

Of course but my point was that it comes with every battle mixer so don't buy it if you plan on getting a battle mixer to practice at home with.

Use Rekordbuddy to transfer your Serato tracks into Rekordbox. Then just keep em on a spare USB just in case you ever need to use a Pioneer CDJ.
