Nick Absolute Best Serato Setup Tutorial Ever!, You answered every question I ever had on how to set up Serato. The Only Thing I didn't hear you mention Is your can change the distance between the Waves form with the + or - Keys on the Keyboard. Where I DJ at the other DJ likes it really tight and I like a lot of distance so I can see the beats more clearly. Thanks again, DJ Drew
Super helpful Nick - several Serato insurance features I didn’t have checked - thank you for the education! “Edutaining” = Educational + Entertaining Nice work, my friend.

Actually you can still set hot cues with enable hot cues unticked. But only on your computer not using your controler. I swiched it off because I kept setting hot cues in places I did'nt want. So now wnen I load new tunes into serato I set the cue points before the gig. Hope I described this well enough. BTW Nick really enjoy your channel.

Great video Nick. Thank you for sharing how you set up Serato. A video I would like to see is how YOU find the bangers. Now I know nothing beats crowed interaction but since we really can not perform in front of a crowd right now how do you do it? Recently I have been using a feature found in Spotify that basically tells you how danceable a song is. It also gives you the energy and mood of the song. That is one way I find the bangers. Stay safe.
Great video bro and new subscriber I launched the TH-cam app and it video was the first on my recommendation so I got curious. After watching I subscribed and love the helpful tips that u gave 2-4 things that u helped clear and found new to me that helped thank you .
undoubtedly the most thorough ,, everyday applicable breakdown i've seen,, i've been usin' serato since around 07-08 ,, not a big controller fan -but i've used em,, and this helps. So much,, all those lil annoying things that happen live-- can be preventable.. who knew..-?? thank you brother,, appreciated
Great video Nick I need to double check on the load protect feature. I cant tell how many mixes and dancefloor I killed lol. As far as sync button [guilty] Using sz2, sx2 controllers over the last decade or so, it is convenient and it sync my effects also. Let's be clear "Sync does not always work" you still have to listen to the track. Anyone like myself or you who ever used vinyl will have no problem hearing the offset. Much needed video brother.
Nice video. Thanks for your time and effort. May I suggest you specify Serato Dj in the title. I just watched a video on Serato’s remix program, the TH-cam algorithm suggested your video, and I wasn’t sure which of the Serato programs your video was about. Keep up the good work!
Awesome video! Thank you for taking the time to explain each setting, Nick 🙏🏽 Currently transitioning from DJ Pro AI to Serato Pro. This was very informative and helpful!!!
Very Informative. I'm a VDJ user but have considered getting Serato to try. I'm just afraid of messing up my VDJ crates if I try Serato. Also I like your hoodie.
Hi nick ‘that was an awesome video. - turn off FX was incredible for me . That has happened many times and I did not realize it was in there> duh 🙄 custom crate columns was another home run for me . You made my day 😎

Good stuff. Ive been using Serato since SL1. Im on DJ pro with a controller and probably still have settings set the old way. LOL. Need to run through them now and start checking and unchecking boxes.
21:12 - CENTER ON SELECTED SONG - I have this turned on, because, when I scrolll through my songs on my controller, with the clicky knob, it's very easy to see the selected song in the middle and see the upcoming and past songs in that list while scrolling. When I have the wanted song selected, I load it onto player A or player B pressing a button near the scrolling knob. Very easy and usefull option. If one is using laptop's mouse or pad to load song, it's not useful. Cheers! ;)
Nice video. Regarding the WAV/AIFF file format I'd suggest AIFF just for the reason that it supports metatags, like artist, album, song et c. AIFF works fine on both Mac and PC so it can be useful if you want to add metadata to your file after the recording.

@@DjGCue71 That's really odd. Your samples and drops are store on the Serato folder which is located wherever you keep your music. So as long as you're using the same laptop and hardrive setup each time it should save??
