    Thank you for making this. I wish it was more clear on the paper instruction on where the plastic vs metal washers are placed.

    Weird question. I rent and landlord won’t let me drill in the ceiling. Do you think it could be possible to mount this upside down so it would sit on a table? is it easy to loads, tighten the tilt appropriately as so it does not tilt or drop unexpectedly?

      @TheRenderQ  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes! You can definitely attach the projector mount to a table. It will work. Most projectors have the ability to flip the image so it’s no problem. I also have a 2nd projector mount (without an arm) that I’ve attached to a tripod and is similar to what you want to accomplish with a table. But make sure all the screws are tight so it won’t accidentally move from the weight of the projector. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!

    The instructions say not to use without a stud. The wall anchors supplied are for brick or concrete.

      Thanks for pointing that out! I’m one of those guys that almost never reads the instructions. However I still have my ceiling mount attached with wall anchors. I’m not too worried since the projectors I’m using aren’t too heavy. Thanks for watching!

    So the mount didn't fit the projector? So use only 2 mounting holes instead of 4?

    • @TheRenderQ
      @TheRenderQ  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! On this projector I only used 2 of the mounting holes. The mounting holes were too close together on this model. I probably should’ve demonstrated on a different projector. But this is to show an alternate way to attach the projector mount. Also these budget projectors are really light weigh so there’s no problem for me using only 2 screws. Hope this helps!

    As a wannabe artist, Id like to aim a projector at 3 locations from one spot. Onto the wall, the floor and a 45 degree angle onto a drafting table. Any idea's? Or would most use this support?

    2:00 It sounds like you're using the anchors in just drywall. Per instructions those are for concrete wall mounting. Just curious has your projector fallen yet because I do not see how those would hold up a projector in just drywall over the years.

    • @TheRenderQ
      @TheRenderQ  ปีที่แล้ว

      I currently don’t have a projector attached to this ceiling mount. But the ceiling mount is still on the ceiling. But the projector you saw in my video is very light weight. So the way I have it mounted is ok. But yes if I had a heavy projector I would definitely screw it into a joist. Thanks for watching!

    If u were to remove the projector to replace the bulb, which screws would u remove? The ceiling or the allen key ones in the middle or the bottom ones?

    • @TheRenderQ
      @TheRenderQ  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      To remove the projector I take out the Allen screws on the joint directly above the projector. The ones closest to the projector. Hope that helps!

    What model drill did you use to drill the holes in the ceiling?

  • @a_little_stick_of_butter
    @a_little_stick_of_butter 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    so to be sure, you said in your video that you mounted the projector without studs directly into the drywall and you haven't had any issues with that since?

    • @TheRenderQ
      @TheRenderQ  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yes! I installed the projector mount into the drywall without going into the stud. But keep in mind that you will have to use the wall anchors to secure the screws into the drywall. You can’t mount this into the drywall only. Budget projectors are pretty light so the wall anchors will hold without a problem. The mounting kit includes plastic wall anchors and the installation feels solid. Hope this helps!

      @@TheRenderQ Hi ,I've been trying to find the studs in my ceiling usin a stud detector and even using that when detects the stud being the ceiling the screw goes straigth without touching any wood , so my best option is to use wall anchors i dont see any other option, i have an epson projector i hope hold the weight

    Hello, how can I make sure that i don’t run into any wires or any when I drill. Also does the mount hold a epson 2250 projector. Thanks

    • @TheRenderQ
      @TheRenderQ  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually I’m not sure how to tell if there’s wiring in the ceiling when I’m drilling. I suppose you could insert your drill bit into the drill as far as possible and then drill slowly. The drywall should only be 1/2” thick so just drill in slowly until you get through. The Vivo mount can support up to 30 pounds. The Epson 2250 is about 11 pounds so you should be ok. Hope this helps!

    Can you angle the mount so that the projector is facing/projecting on the ground?

    • @TheRenderQ
      @TheRenderQ  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! I believe that you can swing the mount so you can project onto the ground. The arm has a joint at the ceiling and there’s also a joint where the arm connects to the projector. I think as long as the projector isn’t too heavy you can tighten the screws enough on the ceiling joint to hold the projector so it points to the ground. Hope this helps!

    Sorry but this bracket Don't look very solid for me
    I don't know where you live but just imagine 30 pound In California + Earthquake
    I don't think does brocket can survive dynamic forces

    • @TheRenderQ
      @TheRenderQ  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      During an earthquake I’d say yes you can’t really expect this mount to 100% hold up to shaking. Especially since there’s weight at the end creating leverage for it to pull on the mount. The whole thing is more likely to rip out of the ceiling than the projector disconnecting from the mount. It the mount is screwed into a hoist then maybe it can withstand an earthquake better. Thanks for watching!
