It really does look easy (and much more affordable than I thought). I‘m going to Edinburgh in October so thank you so much for this informative video!❤😊 I do have two questions tho… are there bus lines going from Edinburgh to the west? And does Scotland have an app for their public transport system where you have an overview of everything or do people use google maps for that?
@@edinburghandbeyond ok bc I have seen that some tourist destinations like hopetoun house don’t have a bus station at least not on google maps? Do you know where the nearest one would be?
Really good video, thank you! But I’ve got a few Questions: 1. Is there any other tickets like a weekly ticket for example ? Or is it just the ones you showed? 2. Would it be possible for you, to do a video on the train in Edinburgh/Scotland in general? Because the next time I’m in Scotland I’ll definitely want to use them and before my first trip to Edinburgh I watched your video where you showed how to get from the airport to the city center and this video was very helpful to me. So a similar video for the train/ScotRail (things like “how and where to buy tickets”, “how do you get on the platforms”, “are the trains most likely on time or are they delayed”..) would be amazing and i would be very grateful! Greeting mate! 🇩🇪🏴
The day ticket u can use on both bus and trams u can get a family ticket for the day, are u asking about trams or scotrail am planning a how to use Edinburgh’s trams aswell in the future buddy 100% u need to buy your ticket before u go on the tram now to can go all the way down to newhaven to
Very helpful. Just to clarify so I understand, if you want to travel all day and night after 6 pm, do you have to get the 5 pound one and 4.50? Thank you.
I might subscribe just to listen to him talk.
Awesome! Thank you!
Doing an update one soon
Good video, easy to understand, very helpful. I did not realize the airport tram was a different ticket.
Excellent helpful advice for visitors .
I found the bussing system in Edinburgh to be quite easy. We were six, so we bought a family day and a single day. Super easy. 🤩

I'll try in future buddy

I noticed the tap to pay on the bus next to the cash deposit - is there any reason not to use that over the app? is it more expensive?
Can't use that in the trams just the bus

4.50 after 6pm
If I take Lothian buses from Hermiston or Ingliston to Edinburgh castle can I pay my Visa card and how much should it cost?
Very good video, great information . Card or cash which is more acceptable more in Edinburg ?
Either
@@luluah1198 thank you 🙂
@wanderfulstops8488 just make sure you have the correct fare as no change is given
how about credit card to pay contactless in the bus once in and once out.. tap in-tap out.
U don't tap out
@@edinburghandbeyond thank you
I found the app but can't download. Says that it was created for a different android version😢
I'll have look in the morning and get back to you. Try resetting your phone
Same with mine. It gives you another app to download, but it has terrible reviews.@@edinburghandbeyond
Can we use our OAP ...UK pass?.
If from Scotland u get free bus services
Thank
How do I use my buss pass on the bus I’ve never had one before do you just use the green contactless thing
U tab it correct easy
Do you know much about the TapTapCap with a contactless card? Do many tourists do that, or do they mostly stick to the app / m-tickets?
Sp I found out its 4.80 for tap tap won't charge u any more
Daysaver tickets are non transferable. Take six of the best 👮♂️👮♂️🚔
If u buy on the bus, they are like the one at the start u can give it to someone else
@Edinburghhonestguide Actually I worked for Lothian Buses for 36 years🤠
