    For the trams if not going to the airport personally I use the et app which for a day is £3.80 if not going to Edinburgh Airport

    Only thing I am not sure about is how to catch a bus to go to Stirling or other small towns from Edinburgh but it sounds like I can get these type tickets at Waverly station which is close to where we are staying.

    • @OneJourneyAway
      @OneJourneyAway  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, many small towns outside Edinburgh have train stations, so you can catch the train at Waverley. The bus station is also close by if there are no trains to where you’d like to go!

    Very helpful and lovely video! I have two questions.
    - If I get a day ticket in paper form? How do I use it for multiple trips?
    - Can I pay for two day tickets with one contactless credit card?

    • @OneJourneyAway
      @OneJourneyAway  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you for your lovely comment!
      For a paper day ticket, just keep your ticket with you and present it to the driver every time you hop on a bus.
      And yes, you just need to first tell the driver that you'd like two adult/child day tickets and you can tap your card when the driver tells you to.
      Hope this helps!

    Hi. How do we indicate to the driver that we want to get off at the next stop? And will there be any screen that shows which is the next stop?

    • @OneJourneyAway
      @OneJourneyAway  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are red buttons all over the bus for you to press for the next stop - you won’t miss them. All of the newer buses have screens showing you the next stop. Hope this helps!

    Can you explain using the family day tickets and family airlink tickets that are available through the m-tickets app? Is it just one ticket I show on one device to cover the two adults/one child in my family?

    • @OneJourneyAway
      @OneJourneyAway  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yup, that’s correct! Normally, m-tickets are only valid for one person per device, with family m-tickets being the exception. You just have to activate it on your device, show it to the driver, and tell them who’s with you as part of the ticket. Hope this helps!

    • @OneJourneyAway
      @OneJourneyAway  ปีที่แล้ว

      For Lothian Buses, there aren’t weekly tickets as such, but the cheapest way to get around for a week would be to use TapTapCap, as there is a weekly cap of £22. Hope this helps!

    • @OneJourneyAway
      @OneJourneyAway  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Edinburgh Waverley, the main train station in Edinburgh, is right in the middle of the city centre!

    Does the tap tap system work with the trams too .. or is it just for the buses.
    Thanks !

    • @OneJourneyAway
      @OneJourneyAway  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      TapTapCap is not currently available for the trams as they operate on a pre-purchase policy, but you can pay via contactless before you board a tram. Hope this helps!

    wait a second, ok with the tap when you check in the bus, but when you step off what happens? you tap it as a check-out?

    • @OneJourneyAway
      @OneJourneyAway  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You only need to tap when you get into the bus - the fare is not based on the length of your trip. There’s one price for as long as you stay on that bus, so if you need to switch buses, then you pay again when you get on the next bus. Hope this helps!

    Hi, I have a question: if I have to take a bus that leaves at 4.13am, do I have to buy a night ticket? Thanks

    • @OneJourneyAway
      @OneJourneyAway  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lothian Buses’ NightBus service runs between midnight and 04.30 so yes, you would have to buy a night ticket. Hope this helps!

    Is this tap-tap ticket like day ticket?

    • @OneJourneyAway
      @OneJourneyAway  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sort of - if you take the bus multiple times per day, the system will cap your taps at £4.80, making it slightly cheaper than buying a £5 day ticket. Hope this helps!
