So that's how that works. Can't wait to try it! I am a qrp'er and want to see if my signal is getting out on 80 meters on a rather low antenna. You have shown me the way. Thanks!
Nice tutorial. I only just discovered the Reverse Beacon Network and I have found it to be extremely valuable for tuning antennas. Thanks for posting this. W9SPY
Thank you Tony...very good demo...going to give reverse beacon a try. I intend to TRY and learn to read morse until I do I can send it on an auto keyer. Am I correct in thinking you can only use reverse Beacon with a CW transmission...inc CQ in morse with your call sign. I'm amazed you can chat and also read morse at the same time...you seem a master at the art of morse...I take my hat of to you. Nick 2E0LPL
Your accent is nice. I can understand what you are speaking otherwise I don't follow American accent. Your CW skills are also nice. I too like CW mode but my speed is 19 wpm.
CT1JRZ de EI2KC -> My first QSOs were made while I was still learning, with a straight key! It was interesting. I didn't understand a lot of the abbreviations which are second nature to me now. I remember having a chat with a guy in England at 5 words per minute - it took us half an hour to have a quick QSO!
Yes. I just hope either RBN or the DX Cluster (or whoever has the database) soon gets their act together and starts reporting our actual beacon geographic grid location. Somebody is messing up. Putting incorrect propagation reporting on the web is questionable at best. Other than that, it's a great system,.
VK5MTM de EI2KC -> When I started learning it just over four years ago I was slow too. But you will pick up speed as you make contacts. I hope you really enjoy using this wonderful mode!
tmarinos For me its not only the difficulty of CW but also the way of speaking in SSB which I don't allways understand. What does that mean "you are 5th,or 9th for example? Why they are always in a rush and they don't speak normal?
For the Reverse Beacon Network, it is best to prolong your CQ to maximize your chances of being heard by DX stations. You have to factor QSB into the scenario.

Subtitles for your Morse code might be fun for future videos, but that may spoil the fun. Great video and great contact! KE8KNX 73

I second that Tony! Thanks. From NG9U. I may know the code, but this vid was very informative to me. I will try to make your Mark Two Key, also.
Great man...
Thanks for sharing.
I´m training cw, but it´s very hard.
How much time you had to make your first qso on cw?

***** Did you see my video on learning morse code? I used computer software to help me learn. It was brilliant.
mythicalireland Yes i use a software. It´s good also. I´m learning from that and i think i´m in the good way.
Thanks
Hi Tony, Is it just a case of downloading the software as I tried after watching your video (with Windows 10) but little happened. 73s Richard M0AUW
