Sadly, phobos 2 was lost literally the day before this programme (I guess they just hadn't gone public with it yet), and neither the flyby or landers ever actually happened :(
That's one thing the Russians always had issues with was there probes having radio or signal issues they lost a few thanks to that and Phobos 2 most likely crashed into the moon.
Were did they dream up a 100 years from? What are they going to do once they open the core? Bung a sack over it an keep opening it up every day for the next 99 years taking a bit out each day?
No, that was based on the Tomorrow's World of 1980-81 or so. This is the late 80s, by which time presentation was a lot smoother and blue-grey had replaced beige.
