- In this video I will be taking you through the process of flushing your coolant system in a first gen Chevy Cruze. I will also show you how to "fix" a leaky turbo coolant return line and fix a leaking engine oil cooler line. I also give you a couple of tips to help certain scenarios and one you can use for things completely unrelated to cars.

Thanks for watching.
What size hose are you using to drain the system? Every video I watch just says “grab a hose” without saying what size.
Don't know off the top of my head. I would guess its about 3/8". I used the hose from my hand fluid pump. I didn't bother with the hose the several other times after this that I drained the coolant.
Can u show me how to do this with diesel chevy cruze 2014? Firt time own a diesel…
I cannot. The videos I make are with my own personal vehicles and I don't have a diesel. However, the process for any liquid cooled car is the same: drain, refill, bleed all the air out, top off. I would imagine that the cooling system is mostly similar between the gas and diesel versions of the same car so just compare what I show in the video to what you have and see what applies.
Sooooo, did the “fix” work, or naw?
For 2 weeks. You can watch my latest video to see the aftermath.
These cars are plagued with coolant problems and overheating. The 1.4 in particular, mine always smelled hot. Even with enough coolant.
Yeah the cooling system is one of the know issues with the car. The other is everything related to the bullshit PCV design. I will be making a video on that at some point when all the parts arrive to hopefully alleviate all those issues finally.
