I am the guy that makes the aluminum/brass fitting. And yes I built two airplanes, but not for Boeing..:). If anyone wants one I sell them basically at cost to help folks out. It gives me practice on my new manual lathe in retirement plus it saves folks having that fitting snap off and calling a tow truck. HMU if you need one.
You can take the charge pipe hose off the mouth of the intake and move it towards the fender. You'll have more than enough room to work on the outlet and get to everything
Good tip for anyone doing it. My biggest issue was getting the clamp off from the heater hose to the outlet to even be able to get the charge pipe off.

@@greasyfingergarage I cut my charge pipe in half and re-connected using a piece of 2 inch silicone hose.. Goes in/out dead easy now..:)
