Ok, here's how I forced the update with an FLT unit: I own and run a small repair/restoration shop in Montana and took in a One S on trade for another console. This is the first FLT console I have ever gotten and didn't know to check before hand. The HDD was fried and I swapped it with another used 1TB HDD. I plugged in my OSU1 update stick and kept getting an E101 or E106 message. I then stumbled across your video explaining the difference between a "release" version and a "FLT" version (thank you SO MUCH for this knowledge!!!). I then downloaded the newest OSU1 update as mine was a couple of months old now. I did the Xbox One 3 finger salute with the OSU1 plugged in. This is holding the sync button, eject button, and power button. Continue to hold all three down until the second beep. There will be around a 10 second gap between the beeps (just be patient). After the second beep release all three buttons and click on Offine System Update (if prompted). It worked for me first time. I rarely use the "Xbox 3 finger salute" anymore when running the OSU1 on a repaired unit, but trying it this time worked 100%. I checked once I got it setup and it still shows the OS version in FLT mode. I am unsure if that will hurt it during the next update. I am going to hold on to this one for a couple of months to see if it crashes again. I sure wish there was a way to pull it back into the standard release mode. Thanks for your videos, and yes, I did subscribe!
@@GamingRenewedLLC One last thing I forgot to mention was when I did all this I had the network cable plugged in. I don’t know if this will make any difference or not, but I forgot to mention that.
You a real one just for making this bro i’m on same screen right behind you e102 but when I try resetting it just goes back. i’m gonna try the usb thing tomorrow off a friend’s computer!
Yea you have to use the usb thing. Just make sure you use the right OSU combo based on your firmware and you should be fine. But you also have to do the hard drive setup too, but remember that wipes the drive.
Had to come back here to ask a quick question. Do you deal with any hardware banned consoles? I imagine you’d have to dive deep into the motherboard or something to fix it…
Naw I don’t. Never looked into it because normally you have to run custom firmware to try and spoof your MAC address and stuff to fool the servers that it’s not that same console. Can’t sell people custom firmware loaded consoles on walmart lol.
I notice even if you don't hold the buttons to get into its mode, if Xbox drive isn't updated or has error, it will jump to that screen for you to select usb drive anyway.
Man, what if it only reflects the error code, for example error E102 but doesn't reflect a OS version build but rather "More Information" etc would this still be repairable?
Yea. But you have to do all the steps. The only thing to remember is you may have to try all the combos because don’t know your os version. Also, you got pray it isnt on xbox insider.
@@GamingRenewedLLC Haha, that's what I am wondering you know.. I don't have it physically, was thinking of purchasing it first for a good price then flipping it but doubt I wanna risk it due the Xbox insider. Thanks for the reply though man, I appreciate it... out here in South Africa, CPT.
Lol yea that would be the biggest risk. See if they can get it to boot into safe mode and send a picture of the os version. If it doesn’t say xb_flt in the os version you are good to go.
ive watched several of your videos. i have an OG xbox one customer brought it in because it wouldnt update. ive tried every osu with no luck. stays on green screen. and have never been able to get the troubleshooting menu at all. while trying all OSU updates from flash drive im now getting e101. kinda at a dead end road do you have any thoughts?
@@GamingRenewedLLC yes was able to finally get troubleshooting menu and an update installing but just gets stuck on verification then shoots out e100. how do I find firmware version after a format?
Oh no E100 error means someone swapped the disk drive and didn’t install the original daughter board onto the new disk drive. That board is paired with the motherboard and it has to be the original from the factory. No way to pair a new one. There is also a very slim chance the board itself crapped out but very low. Usually the disk drive was put in from another console and they didn’t take off the board to put the old board on the new drive.
I'm getting Code E101 and E106, Followed all your steps, by steps and nothing works. Is it possible my console is locked? My version is 10.0.26100.2499(xb_flt_2410ge.241024-1700) I'm trying to upgrade my xbox harddrive to a SSD 5.2.
@@GamingRenewedLLC an update: I managed to fix it although it is insider program software. It does work fixing it with an offline update. However, since the flt version is usually newer than the OSU1 with the official release, it seems like you have to wait until a full release with a higher software version is available and download the new OSU1. At least that is my theory.
I bought a xbox one s with a bad power switch, replaced that and got stuck on green screen, finally was able get past that to a regular menu but was extremely sluggish so I went to troubleshoot menu and factory reset it, now it won't go to step 3 of update. Stays on 100% step 2 verifying. I tried replacing the hdd. Looks to be flt version
Sorry. Getting a second hand flt console that won’t update usually can’t be fixed unless you can get it unenrolled from the Microsoft skip ahead program. You would need the person’s info that enrolled it to have it unenrolled

Got it! Thanks! 🙏🏽
@@GamingRenewedLLC Did this work?
Holiday season has had me swamped with orders and receiving/listing games so haven’t had time to try it yet. Its still on the to do list though!
Man you are the GOAT. This video is gonna help so many people.
Much appreciated 🙏🏽. I hope it does. I’m still working to find something for the xbox insider ones.
Great error codes explanation video . Greetings from Greece
Greetings! Thanks 🙏🏽. Hope everything is well

No problem 👍

Yea it will. This just stops it from trying to update if it’s stuck in an update loop. Also, works for black screen issues on the OG XB1

ive also tested and tried multiple known good hard drives and same error.
Have you done the whole script process yet? Also, what firmware does it say on it?

You are on the flight firmware thats why. You have “flt” in your firmware version
subbed hoping i’ll get feedback from u
Thanks for the support but i will respond either way 👍.
Ok I am screwed. Mine says flt and I have no contact to the original owner :/ Thanks, though. At least I know that now.
Sorry to hear that 😪. That is definitely the worst case scenario
