I just can't get enough of Oma. She reminds me so much of my own grandmother who was born in Holloko and that's where she met my grandfather and was married. My oldest uncle and my auntie were born there, then they all came to the US where my other uncle and father were born. I grew up eating all great foods from my grandmother and auntie and they even taught my mother how to cook ( she burned up pots when she and my father were first married). And of course, they taught me a lot too. My fathers favorite meal was breaded chicken. My grandmother used whole cut up chicken parts and crushed saltine crackers for the breading. I was always amazed that my mother always lost the breading when frying the pork chops breaded this was and I always lost the breading when I fried the chicken, though with age, I finally can do both. I, as well as others, have come to love Oma and miss her. Hope she is well. I'm sure if someone were to write a cookbook with her recipes and stories, it would be a best seller. Loads of love, Kate
So wonderful to see Oma again! I’ve been cooking Hungarian food from my grandma’s Hungarian cookbook. She died when I was only 14, but I have such good memories cooking with her in the kitchen. Oma reminds me so much of my grandma, housecoat and all. Oma you are such a blessing, to and your videos help the Hungarian culture live on to the next generations! ❤️🙏🏻

Now I know how to make breaded chicken Mom and I use to watch Oma all the time, My Mom 98 passed in December. Well Oma looks wonderful and what a good boss for you ,keeping you on the right track , now no dipping in the egg first goodness NO and was fun seeing you cook with Oma there to guide your every move lol What a lovely instructor !

Just found your channel and subscribed. It's very special to see you cooking with your mom. And we all can attest that no matter how old you get you will always be your parent's child and sometimes having them make you feel "stupid" once in a while comes with the territory. Lol. That part with the lesson on which comes first flour or egg reminded me of cooking with my mom. The first recipe I'm gonna attempt from Oma is her Hungarian Goulash and Spaetzle! That looked lecker!

It was so good to see Oma again... I hope that she is well and enjoying teaching you how to cook some of the old recipes.. Just thought I should share with you that you can also do Pork chops if the are cut the continental style they are wonderful too as well as chicken and veal.. really love Omas recipes as I do use them as they are very similar to my Omas recipes she was German..

Your mother still has such beautiful hair. So good to see her. And my son is named Eddie too.
I normally fillet one breast of chicken breast and get 3-4 piece pound a bit ..you may not think it be thick enough but it is.. I take one piece put it in flower then the egg mix them back into the flower them back into the then the breadcrumb ..I actually started using different breadcrumbs I think it's called poke Chinese breadcrumb also herbal and normal breadcrumbs.. my kids fight over it completely ..
P.s...i also sprinkle Vegeta on chicken also put a bit in flour and egg and milk and bread crumbs
