Just received my first dies today and was so excited to get started. Using the Big Shot, I was seriously afraid I was going to break my machine before getting it to cut all the way through. I will try my Gemini Jr. and hopefully will be more successful.

I own all these dies...the problem is in the design. The outside cutting edge is too tall...as Nina says, the roller can't reach the centre of the die. The easiest way to shim this, is to cut the shape you want to sew out of light weight cardstock. Then cut one from very heavy cardstock. This is no problem for the outside cutting edge. Stack the heavy shape on top of the lighter one as a shim, tape (yes!) and run through again. This technique puts even shim pressure only on the interior of the die. It works a treat.

I love my Gemini Jr. I only have to run my dies through once unless the paper is very heavyweight. I appreciate the magnetic sheets that come with your die sets. I just got the A2 dies and the oval dies. I don’t know why it took me so long to get them.

What is the plate you are using to rub the paper on to remove the tiny pieces and where can I get one ?
