  • Zach said that he never had any interest in owning a JEEP until his 1994 YJ with a 302 V8 came along. Now you couldn't pry this fun machine away from him if you tried.

I gotta 95 YJ myself. Your right the 2.5 is really underpowered. I took my lil truck to a shop and they re geared the truck ( 4:88 ) for me. Not so fast off the line but I’m definitely more confident on the freeway. I was barely getting 55 - 63 mph now I’m about 70 to some times 80. 80 when I’m going down hill LOL. The gear change isn’t the final frontier for me, but I truly appreciate this as a favorable upgrade 👍🏼

Damn i love this big beach. I really enjoy the voice over instead of a bunch of guys standing around and pointing at the mods.
Now i need to spring over my yj

Nice Jeep,,,, hopefully one day I can swap the 2.5 out of my 95 YJ for the LS 5.3.
Great video, sweet Jeep. Enjoy til the wheels fall off.... then put some more on 😄👍🏼

i still have my 2.5L in my 97 TJ. Underpowered for sure but a good engine. Even the jeep dealership told me to stick with it because it's such a reliable motor. I'll run in till it can't run anymore and drop in a 6 or 8 CYL.

Beautiful YJ. Bought my 94' YJ in 2005 with 40,000 miles. A 4.0 Lt. Straight 6, same blue paint, automatic and today it has 263,000 miles on original motor. The car lot had to replace the transmission 3 days after I took delivery while 4x4 'n in the mountains but still has the original drive train and still sets you back in the seat when you put your foot into it. Great torque.
Always drove in and out of where I pointed it with little help from the Warn wench. Lots of
Fun driving it! When the motor gives up I'd love to swap it for a V8. Perhaps a 283 ci.

Leaning hard towards purchasing my first wrangler. Have always loved the YJ. Honest opinion- ‘94 YJ 115k miles, new tires, needs shock body mount. Owner Asking $2k. Should I pull the trigger? (Afraid I’ll lose my shirt replacing body mount)

Actually, you can push a lot of torque from the straight six, they dont put out much horsepower but the torque with them is unreal.
