What is a budget deck doing sitting between Edgar Markov and a storm deck? That wasn't fair. Props to them for being the most interactive player at the table tho.
in a nutshell: his demigod brother horus betrays their dad (the god emperor of mankind), magnus being the super powerful wizard that he is attempts to warn the emperor psychically using sorcery that was banned by the emperor, but the emperor put up magical barriers around terra (earth) and to get the message to the emperor magnus annihilates those barriers. this also creates a gaping hole in reality for daemons to start pouring into earth ruining the emperors project that was going to save humanity, magnus realizes he goofed up, and sulks on his home planet of prospero. the emperor sends another one of magnus’ brothers named leman russ to bring magnus back to terra (earth) so the emperor can give him a spanking but horus intercepts the message to “kill magnus” instead of “bring him back”. Some people think magnus was wrong for breaking down the barrier and a few other details while other people say he did nothing wrong since he had purely good intentions. I think that’s as short as I can get it while also getting the most important details across. :)
Best part about it was once we saw Cayden was going for it, the whole table was pumped to see him do it. Ethan is our resident storm player but Scoop Phase is also a big storm player. They were very excited to see Cayden pop off
My wife plays Edgar and out of personal experience I think it's gonna win (even if the starting hand isn't optimal), but I'm rooting for Shrines cause I really like enchantments.
Magnus Did Nothing Wrong
Heretic
Never forget the tragedy of Próspero 😢
Finally, a man of learning and culture.
That storm came in quick🔥

I made my choice!
This man had a plan!

Save yourself! You don't realize what you have invited!
A character from Warhammer.

He used a life counter. They don't have an official name for the style. Some people call them tick downs or d100 life counters
