My condolences to the editor who had to cut out the ~20 minutes of Noah pausing after each action and going "gimme a sec I need to remember what to do next. I promise I know how to win from here just lemme think"
Player one: "You must play blue in order to interact with your opponents' spells and abilities." Player comboing off with Gitrog: "I kinda play blue. Observe."
I love how Gitrog players are always like "why do you keep killing frog? I'm not even a threat." No sir, you could win with two colorless mana and a ham sandwich on board. That deck is insanely strong.
This has to be one of the best episodes of late! Love all of these decks. From multiple froggy combo decks, to a Shrine and Ninja tribal, to shrine REANIMATOR? To mono-red burn…… just about everything here! 10/10 Episode, sick Gitrog combo at the end to top it all off :)
Dude, wait. Ok, so with a Gitrog Monster in play and knowing that Gitrog player had resolved a Demonic Tutor, Yuriko player Commandeers a... Reanimate targeting Jegantha? I 100% could be missing some context as to why Jegantha was so powerful there, but gotta respect the frog.
I had never really taken Ryan seriously whenever they did the introduction for Noah whenever he played Gitrog, but after watching him win with it yeahhhhhhh I think that’s an extreme measure in restraint rather than just going and Noah on Gitrog *farts into mic*.
i think this is my first time im seeing treasure nabber in a cedh game, is it normally a good card or is it only needed in mono red decks as extra means to ramp?
It's something I added to the deck to see if it was good, in longer games where I can't exactly turbo out too hard, having a single turn of a boost of mana helps If I get to my next turn, however lol
Correct me if I am wrong. Rust's opening hand for the second game had Veil of summer and Noble Hierarch in it. Won't that make the deck illegal because of Jengatha's companion rules?
Mana symbols in the costs are the companion ability, the other are refered as colour or mana identity. So the noble is a green card in mana symbols(only have green in its cost mana symbols), but is bant in colour identity.
4:00 why He didn't target the necropotence with the fluster storm? A) if nothing happened you get a 2/2 bird for satoru and your opponent won't, b) you avoid counterspell war
Can I submit a deck to you guys? I thought it might be fun to feature. It's a control deck that combos out with Nicol Bolas, the Arisen who happens to be the commander
It seems to me that Grolnok and Gitrog are related somehow. It's a little too coincidental that they both eat people, are legendary frogs and are the most broken commanders in the game lol
correct me if i am wrong the grolnok player should have lost if the baleful mastery was casted for its alternated cost because it says an opponent draws a card.
@@PlayingWithPowerMTG Its a joke lol. One of my buddies always targets creatures with his swan song then we tell him he can't and we just get free info.
I see these games and all I think is poor Rust why is everyone beating on him, and not focusing the obviously power house decks, Gitrog and Yuriko should be the two primary focuses.
A person in my IRL playgroup just started playing MTG. He's incredibly smart and has as solid a grasp on the game's complexities as our more senior players. He proxies all cards. Basics and tokens included haha Just prints 'em right out.
My condolences to the editor who had to cut out the ~20 minutes of Noah pausing after each action and going "gimme a sec I need to remember what to do next. I promise I know how to win from here just lemme think"
I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING
Absolutely avoidable if only he didn’t receive talisman
Player one: "You must play blue in order to interact with your opponents' spells and abilities."
Player comboing off with Gitrog:
"I kinda play blue. Observe."
Ah yes. Gitrog loops are as easy to follow as usual. It’s like visiting an old friend you haven’t talked to in a while
And are reminded why you stopped talking to them.
these comments today are so good
I love how Gitrog players are always like "why do you keep killing frog? I'm not even a threat." No sir, you could win with two colorless mana and a ham sandwich on board. That deck is insanely strong.
Ah yes, the green blue frog deck that mills your entire deck and wins by making you croak. Classic magic strategies.
Gitrog just never let that Tainted Pact resolve. Impressive.
I was very afraid of what he was gonna get lol
I love how the same player plays both Frog commanders in insane decks, they are both so wild
watch out, i'm gonna play that new frog enchantment commander one day too
@@PlayingWithPowerMTG I'm ready for the combination
@@PlayingWithPowerMTG I desperately need a full frog pod don’t play with my emotions like that
Gitrog's ability to just win on top of opponents' disruption is always awe inspiring

Baleful Mastery as a Thoracle answer... I liked it.
Immediately shown why counterspells are better :P
Who, in an sane mind, would give wishclaw to a Gitrog player? Hahaha
Loved the new layout at the end, really cool.
Amazing games, all hail the frogs!
Almost thought it was wednesday my dudes.
and giving it the spirit token to feed phyrexian tower
Got me laughing so hard at how ridiculous the Gitrog combo got, gotta love Gitrog lines
I don't understand the logic of activating wishclaw in game 2, passing it to Gitrog, and then watching them win the game with it.
I will never be mad about watching a Gitrog deck combo off because it's always so interesting to watch.
grolnok looks really interesting as a commander. awesome to see it in action
It's a really fun deck to play! I built it right when that set dropped and you can do what feels like such broken stuff
Yeah, it's like a dredge deck that doesn't lose to gy hate. It's a very cool commander
@@gregorycafiero9688 yeah I think the only grave hate it falls to is stuff like Rest In Peace or similar effects
it's superrrrrrrr fun! my list is old and I have to update it but it is quite strong
Chad makes a real CHAD move bringing Go-Shintai in cEDH.
Thought the same
LITERAL Chad out here playing Shrine tribal, incredible.
It woulda been fine if I could've fucking tutored :sadge:
I wish I knew what Rust did in game two in order to go first :(
FROGS UNDEFEATED! BACK TO BACK BOG CHAMPIONS!
Been out for a bit, but did I miss the old narrator coming back? Got a little more used to new guy, but I'm glad to hear the original again

Well that was some ribbiting gameplay. It’s always interesting to see who croaks in the end.
Great pun! Deserves way more than 10 likes, ill make it 11 :)
It was very fun to watch the Gitrog loop play out!
I had never really taken Ryan seriously whenever they did the introduction for Noah whenever he played Gitrog, but after watching him win with it yeahhhhhhh I think that’s an extreme measure in restraint rather than just going and Noah on Gitrog *farts into mic*.
Complete access to their entire deck at instant speed seems pretty good for gitrog lololol
Great game, and great job remembering those triggers, that's the hard part sometimes cause if you misplay then it's over.
I have only one word to say about this episode... RIBBIT!
Big fan of this episode since I own two 4 colour frog tribal decks
Super happy to see a gitrog win! Bloody love our beautiful frogge
RYAN SAID CROAK ZONE! My life is complete. Grolnok is 1 and my favorite 2 commanders to play.
What a list of commanders. Love to see it.
I loved seeing Grolnok in action!
Frog pilot here... Strong showing from my boys Grolnok and Gitrog ♥️
I'm a simple man. No words needed to explain this.
i think this is my first time im seeing treasure nabber in a cedh game, is it normally a good card or is it only needed in mono red decks as extra means to ramp?

GG for the first game nice fish combo , someone have to cook that fish one day
that instant speed death rite win was sick AF!
Damn that baleful mastery though
That Lightning Greaves line is sick
Combulluted combo you say, uh? Heck yeah! LOLs GGs guys
I could never, in a million years, pilot a Gitrog deck like Noah did. Je. Sus.
That fish was well fed game 2 😂
Shrines in cEDH, what an absolute Chad.
Why do most people target the counter-counterspell with Flusterstorm triggers instead of the thing that is the threat?
Flusterstorm targets instants and sorceries only.
That's some quality amphibian based gameplay. 🐸 🐸
4:00 why He didn't target the necropotence with the fluster storm? A) if nothing happened you get a 2/2 bird for satoru and your opponent won't, b) you avoid counterspell war
Fluster says instant and sorcery spells. Can't target Necro with it
Why would you target the swan song with Flusterstorm and not Necropotence itself? Is there something im missing?
Because flusterstorm only targets instants and sorceries
Can I submit a deck to you guys? I thought it might be fun to feature. It's a control deck that combos out with Nicol Bolas, the Arisen who happens to be the commander
Noah, the Great Toad Sage!
I'm a Gitrog player, and the win was out of my imagination, soo amazing.
Did i miss something? How did Noah get a loop with Creadle? (17:32)
Additional cost of crop rotation and being able to loop shuffle titans
he could of just kept cracking lotus petal for infinite mana of whatever color he wanted. He got there, but missed easier ways.
In game 1 approx. 6:30, Rust should have ninjutsu after damage to have Adam roll for its life rather than before damage to look its hand.
need to see more shrine decks
im glad you guys use proxys
Any reason why rust targeted swan song instead of necropotence with fluster storm?
Necropotence isn't a legal target for Flusterstorm.
Where is adams playmat from that thing is beautiful
how did he have a carpet and that other one green creature with jganta
Only real Chads play Go-Shintai of Life's Origin
The beginning of the game felt like just bullying Chad, poor guy
My reason for running trickbind in Cedh.
It seems to me that Grolnok and Gitrog are related somehow. It's a little too coincidental that they both eat people, are legendary frogs and are the most broken commanders in the game lol
Dayum, rust almost had them with that first game
3:56 Wouldn't it have been better to target the necro with Flusterstorm?
You can’t. It only hits instants and sorceries.
Another win due to Emergence Zone!
video starts at 0:34
Woowww ADAM really got nothing out of that Necropotence ? LuL
Sometimes necropotence is just “pay 30 life: wiff”
Swan Song Swan Song'd a Swan Song. What a mouthful lol. Honk.
Should have interacted when he played the crown
Frogs! Frogs! Frogs! Frogs!
correct me if i am wrong the grolnok player should have lost if the baleful mastery was casted for its alternated cost because it says an opponent draws a card.
Baleful Mastery was countered.
@@bobsmurf42 thanks
All hail the frogs!
Did Noah just do an infinite, during the response to his first infinite?
Would love to play in one of these matchs
Come to Richmond or Vegas! We will be recording while we are there!
@@PlayingWithPowerMTG Maybe in the future lol. Need to get an event in Hawaii
A shame those games were not uploaded on wednesday tho
Crazy frog would be proud
Wow
Since both Grolnok and Gitrog are cEDH comanders and are both Frogs does that mean that Yargle is a cEDH commander?
God no
Waiting for "Frog Wars" ;)
Great games!
Noah should of targeted his Necropotence with flusterstorm not his swan song lol. Good game.
Flusterstorm only hits instants and sorceries.

Thoracle win tally on CEDH streams: 119
fro-fro-frog TIMER!!!!!
👍
People play Gitrog by choice??? Good, fun games.
Um isn't Oko's first ability make a food token?
Well the third activation I heard it correctly. Maybe me being old just heard it wrong the first 2 times
On the screen he corrected it
It was corrected with white text over the card saying "2nd" Talking about 4:51 ?
If Adam had responded to Oblivion Crown with his Tainted Pact he might had stopped the combo. Right?
Maybe
Satoru not taking mulligans to at least an evasive creature is just........bad.
Gitrog😴😴😴 almost makes me wish for krark hahaha
Frog-Power!
I get why people proxy expensive cards but why are people using proxies for cheap cards like basic lands?
A person in my IRL playgroup just started playing MTG. He's incredibly smart and has as solid a grasp on the game's complexities as our more senior players.
He proxies all cards. Basics and tokens included haha Just prints 'em right out.
I think it's not proxies, but Alter Sleeves, and in that case, it's because Alter Sleeves are cool.
Why not target Necropotence with FoW? lol
🐸🐸
Gitrog loops are so convoluted lol
Yeah isn’t it great?
Gitrog make brain mushy
No one's having fun with Gitrog, even the person's who's winning.
