I love how the nuclear bomb has a playstation 2 like interface for startup... 90's games were so awesome. It's sad we don't have games like this anymore.
I remember playing the original Journeyman Turbo and saw previews for this game on a disc but never got it! This game is pretty impressive graphically for it's time!
Same here, I used to dream about playing it on the sega saturn.. but it got canceled after bad sales... I miss my Turbo Demo I got with my computer.. that's where I saw the trailer for this game... That music + vocals in the Mars Colony Mine Maze just hits different
2:31:52 - Player attempts to use access card on transporter - Transporter rejects card three times for some reason - Player reaches for the card bomb I love moments like this in playthroughs 🤣
You missed my favorite Guide reference. When the apartment’s food synthesizer creates a protein drink at the beginning of the game its voice says, “Share and enjoy.” Sound familiar? 😉
Fun random fact: Your irritated coworker (Michelle Visard) that you're late to relieve is played by Michele Scarabelli who also played Lt. Commander Data's girlfriend (Ensign Jenna D'Sora) in the ST:TNG episode In Theory.
Well, I've looked 20 minutes of the video and there are so many things I liked in the JP turbo that are distorted in this one that I'm afraid to watch any further. I think i'm gonna beat the original again then play prime. The otherway around might prove too difficult
@@zet0korp *Hi! I'm a huge fan of Legacy Of Time and have just looked into the amazing prequels for that game.* :) *Can you tell me what the differences are between Pegasus Prime and Turbo? Thank!* :)
@@Princess2Warrior Hello Princess2Warrior :) Journey Man Project Turbo is a great game in terms of sound design and storytelling and is more of a sci-fi novel depicted in a video game format whereas Pegasus Prime is more of a full motion video (FMV). Pegasus prime is a remake of Journey Man Project but it takes a lot of liberties and has a lot of content the former had not. Journey man project is more "serious" whereas Pegasus Prime has a second degree kind of humour attached to it. You just have to look a te first gaming scene where you can look at your character in the mirror to see my point. If you never played any of the two, then you should give both a try to see what you're more into and think of those two games as two completely different opus in the narrative/feel. Note that Journey Man Project Turbo is quite rough in its programming and you'd have to cope with a lot of gameplay quirkiness to see it through but it's my favorite because of its enveloping atmosphere. Its simplicity makes it easy to get involved in and it triggers your imagination and a sense of wonder you won't find in Pegasus Prime. Hope that helps, please tell me what you think when you've made your pick (or played both :) )
I can't believe they didn't include the original soundtrack for Pegasus Prime. A lot of the sound effects just don't hold up either. Like in Turbo when the doors open they have this trickling water effect sound that's so soothing. Pegasus Prime had tons of potential, but really missed the mark. Turbo also has more of an ominous tone and can be very creepy at times. Turbo definitely has a wide range of emotions throughout the game. Emotions like curiosity, relaxing, amazement, and unsettling. Pegasus Prime doesn't really capture this. It seems very flat throughout the game and at times almost seems goofy/cartoony how some of the interfaces are displayed.
Well, Journeyman Project Turbo was a V 2.0 of the original, which was very sluggish. With Turbo, the animation speed was an overall major improvement. My apologies if you already know all of this.
It's a shame this wasn't released on more systems when it first came out. The selection sound effects are pretty much exactly the same as those in Resident Evil.
@@Multifacted_Brotha Oddly enough, the Playstation did see a Japanese release and the intro cutscene was posted here too. I'm not sure if it's still up anymore.
I’m the second time at the Marsian Collony and traveled with the train to the otherside. When I walk trough the door at the place were I the first time took the Oxygen mask, I should see an screen where I have to play a sort of mastermind game. But there doesn’t appear a screen. What are I’m doing wrong?
ugh - my favorite scene was the BLUE sky zoom-out in the introduction, right before the explosion. they ruined the colors. love that blue: th-cam.com/video/4W1c7vIKdDk/w-d-xo.html
The world already has Nuke Silos all over every country and continent. In this future I presume this NORAD is like the FBI when it comes to the Silos. They have ability to change the dark fate of a nuclear war by the push of a button, disabling all silos.
Hearing some of the Turbo music and voice lines, where originally they were rerecorded, leads me to think it's the 2017 Steam version. Been a while since I played my own copy, but I'm pretty sure.
Agreed. There was lots of over explaining. Would have been great to meet in the middle of the 2 games. Some updates to turbo like visuals and the need to backtrack through the world's would have made it epic

20:42 I like the fact that their The Fly reference was still in the remake.
Oh shit never picked up on that as a kid. Damnnnn

Saw a neat little Easter egg at Norad VI. After Gage leaves the sub, there is a locker with the name Zaphod B. I love Hitchhiker's Guide!

I never noticed!

This game is leaps and bounds better than JP Turbo. Never played this version. Very cool!!

Nothing better than the original! Period. I can deal with the old school graphics.

My favorite part was the mars pod launch in the original but the submarine ride is a close second. Still love the pod launch
So this is a reimagining of the original Journeyman Project Turbo?
Yep

That music scared me SO much in the original release
I started on Jorneyman project turbo
I have seen spinets of video from this version of the game (I only played the original), but I never new where they came from.
All those round things pinned against the wall, around PEGASUS those are flux compositors.

And the Voice you hear in the ready room is VEGA from DOOM ETERNAL
all three on sale on GOG today.
Still have the original Journeyman Project CD with the temporal annex code in it.
How the hell does 7 "micrograms" of dimenhydrinate knock a grown ass man out.
I take 100 to 700 mg to sleep.
Dimenhydrinate "compound", for what it's worth, so presumably it's some sort of chemical cocktail that only has dimenhydrinate as a base.
Yeah you think that they would used something like alprazolam.

Which version of Pegasus Prime is this?

1997
Why is the video squished :(
I really just don't like Pegasus Prime. All the changes are for the worse imo.
