    Meg you are a lifesaver! Thank you so much for this video! I just got my Stamparatus and had no success stamping because the gap between the top of the plate and my paper was too far apart. Luckily I had magnetic vent covers (for storing my dies) so I followed your instructions. Sooo important to use the 7 3/8” by 7 3/8”measurements you gave!! Now I’m Stampin like a pro (ok a beginner in training to be a pro🤣) TFS🤗❤️

    I just found this video. Stampin up should market this! I was so frustrated that I couldn't stamp in the corner. What a great tip. And the laminated graft paper works great. I have also begun putting a stamp box under my plate, too. After stamping for 10 years, I learned, from this video, to use the tiny pads to keep ink from getting all over. Thank you so much.

    I like the use of the magnetic sheets and laminated grid paper. I use clear packing tape for the magnets since it covers most of the magnet in case it breaks. Thanks for your awesome tips.

    I just ordered this tool. Hasn't even arrived yet, but you are the first to mention about not being able to put the paper in the corner! I have always loved using the corner so the paper won't move. I hope I don't regret getting this. I kept my Misti, but sold the Tim holtz platform!

    Hi Meg and thank you, I bought a stamping platform a couple of years ago its a little bit like a Misty and the gap is nonexistent which is now driving me Lala. You covered my final question perfectly when you lifted it up to show us. Its our wedding anniversary in a week and hubby said he would give me money so i want to be sure i spend it wisely. Hugs and Loves

    I am so glad that I saw this video! I have been thinking about getting the Stamparatus down the road. Now I'm sure I will get it because you've worked all the kinks out of it! Plus I love the laminated grid paper idea. I just so happen to have a laminate machine. Plus I already have the vent cover magnets. I guess all I need now is the Stamparatus! Oh, I also love the idea of washi tape (or whatever) on the magnets. I think this is one of my favorite Stampin Up videos. THANK YOU!!! Looking forward to watching your other videos!

      Not you at all! If this came out before the Misti or Tim Holtz's and there was nothing to compare them to, there wouldn't be an issue. Everyone just tries to make them like the other tools - and then gets frustrated.

    Wow what helpful tips! I was very disappointmented with the stamparatus. This is a game changer! Since I have already purchased this I wont buy another new and improved stamparatus if one comes out. I also own the Misti and love it but you cant stamp off the side as easy. I do think there is pros to both and will choose which one best matches my project needs. But again, your tips will make my purchase worth it. Otherswise I had stuck it aside with other didnt work as seen on TV pile!

      So you didn't have input as to how it should be designed to be useful without adding other pieces to make it work. I have had a MISTI for a long time and love it but I also love that we have 4 sides to use on the Stamparatus however if it won't touch the base - what good is it ¿¿ Just sayin' Still hope they figure out something better for it to work better without having to add to it.

    • @ITeachStamping
      @ITeachStamping  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Verna, It works just as designed so that the hinges are more sturdy, yet removable. You can use it without these changes, just not close to the hinges. It was designed with the intent of stamping in the middle, not up in the corners. With some small changes, you can make it work for you along the hinges, as well. You don't have to make any changes to it, you can use it just as it comes. It was a team of demonstrators that had input on the design, and this was the best way to handle it being sturdy as well as having two plates, and removable hinges.

    Great tips Meg. But makes me think this needs some redesign work. Too many little problems with this version. Will wait until they have worked out all the kinks. Will keep using my Misti until then.

    • @ITeachStamping
      @ITeachStamping  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Linda, I am sorry that it made you think it needed redesign work. Many think that the hinges are a design flaw since you can't stamp right up next to them. It was intentional to have them be crazy sturdy so that you can remove them often without them breaking. What other features do you think need to be redesigned? thanks!

    It is a great tool....but isn't it a shame that these craft companies don't foresee these things and always leave it up to the consumers to solve? We pay a lot of money for all of this equipment and it should not have to be up to us. It isn't just this company....but most companies across the board. They all need to spend more time in the preparation of the product before producing it and more time with quality control.

    I am disappointed with it you shouldn't have to buy other things to make it work right the tim holtz one is very nice! They didn't design it right!

    • @ITeachStamping
      @ITeachStamping  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Judy, They did design it right for hinges. Everyone assumes that you stamp in the corner because that is what the other platforms do. Stampin Up didn't make theirs to be like the others to give you new techniques with those fabulous hinges! You don't have to buy other things, this was a video I made to help others that were trying to make it work like other platforms :)
