Plus he up as a restricted free agent summer of 23' they could get more trading him then.

They went that way because the odds of getting a good one is low.
Gobert is pretty much the best available player. Plus he offers a decent upgrade in finishing over Capela while moving from a similar team where he was two times as impactful as Capela on defense .
As for the rest of the offense I think they can try to implement a different, less static system and see some benefit. JC is a big time, multi faceted scorer that's heavily underutilized without a stretch big in the lineup. He can be an all star. He's been very close before. There's gotta be some way to unlock his full potential.

The hawks don’t need a center, okongwu is their guy there. He will have a jump this season getting major minutes and being healthy. Center is the last place the hawks need to trade for

    • @grapeape1965
      @grapeape1965 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@Kevin Green okongwu is and has always been a center. His only position in the NBA and college has been center. He doesn’t even share minutes at another position. And on court he is no doubt used completely as the center. He is borderline reaching his elite potential defensively as a center as well. You obviously don’t watch any hawks games and haven’t read or listened to anything about their team or even their season they just had with him. You must not who Miami heat CENTER Bam Adebayo is either if you think that height makes him not a center. That height at 240+ lbs as well lol. As okongwu came back from injury he increased minutes taking them directly from capela until they were pretty much split 20/20 or okongwu getting 24. And same as his rookie season in the playoffs, capela can’t switch and he versatile and okongwu contributed even more in the playoffs and closed games , played more minutes in the last toe games than capela after capela came back (okongwu played all the games capela only played the last two). Hawks Front office made it clear at the trade deadline when other teams asked, that okongwu is their center they’re building around and he was off limits in trades at that time.

the Pels are actually in a unique spot because they can either draft a player here OR if the "right" team want to get back into this 1st rd and trade for some future picks, if its me running this show i would consider trading this 8th pick. the reason why it has to be the right team, i would look to see IF there is a chance they might get a high lottery pick next year or years down the line..i know its harder to predict but some teams just have a higher chance of staying at the bottom of the barrel.

The hawks need to stay away from Rudy Gobert because they were fine in paint protection. Their main issue is in perimeter defense, they can settle in the draft and get Sochan from Baylor or Tari Eason from LSU. Eason has better offense but as a pure wing defender Sochan can be that. Plus they have Delon Wright for a PG also Shariffe Cooper who was a G-League stud.

Great video Casey, just a couple of considerations:
    1. Gobert would be great for Atlanta, but he ain't worth 3 first round picks due to his contract and recent playoff performance. Also, Capela provides 80% of Gobert's production on a much cheaper deal. I think Capela, Collins and a first for Gobert and Gay/Hernangomez would be a great deal for both sides.
    2. Turner only has 1 year left on his contract so his value is a bit lower right now. A trade I came up with is Turner and McConnell for Hayward, Washington and pick 13. Charlotte gets some salary relief, their franchise center and address their need for poing guard depth while Indiana gets a solid return.

And the pacers are not getting locked in picks 13 and 15 for Myles turner LMAO. Hell no. They’d be ecstatic to get locked in number 13 for turner. Getting two future firsts, likely protected to an extent as well, is already an overlay for turner. Future firsts that can land anywhere are nowhere near as value as picks you already have guaranteed at especially 13, and 15 is still a lot higher than most future firsts in trades end up being. That’s an awful trade value and worth wise

Rudy Gobert does nothing to improve their roster. I'd rather have Clint Capela, Huerter and my 3 1sts. The Hawk's have so many options. Turner can only get 2 picks, yet can defend and shoot from anywhere. While saving you around 21 million dollars.. It would have to be worth while for them to trade him to a potentially better team's picks for one. When a team that's not as good, can possibly offer better picks. Their assets could get it done. Pacers could swing a 3 team deal to get everyone what they want. Far as picks and players. While the Hawk's could still get a great PG,SG,Wing and Lob threat big C in the graft. There's plenty of them. For some insane reason, Terquavion Smith isn't even on anyone's radar. Dyson Daniel's has been mentioned. I won't even go into the guards, forwards and bigs. They don't have to give away all their picks in a crappy trade for s slow footed, no scoring 40 million Center lol.

Pelicans got everything they need. They just need a healthy Zion.
Hornets need a defensive center who can rebound, block & defend the paint. Gobert, myles turner or ayton would be perfect for them.
Hawks need a #2 scoring option to Trae. A realistic guy like Tobias harris, Julius randle, Jerami grant or wiggins might do the trick.

one of these teams should go for Jerami Grant.....exactly what they need and cheap !!
Gobert aint worth 3 picks and 2 players....

Not gunna lie, bridges more important to the hornets team than LaMelo. LaMelo more important for ticket sales.

100% max Zion. You have a chance to win a chip. If you don’t take that chance you may never come that close again.
