I bought an E-CELLS Super Monarch Crown E-MTB for hunting here in Nevada. 2 wheel drive, 2 batteries, dual suspension, hydraulic brakes with beefy 2.2 mm thick discs, fenders, front and rear racks. Headquarters in Pahrump, NV only 50 miles from my home here in the Las Vegas valley. 400 pound max weight capacity!
Thought I would give you an idea on how to upgrade your setup. I run my tires tubeless and on the same bike as yours I was able to cut almost 1.5lbs of rotational mass in the wheel which made the bike acceleration and handling a lot better. I also don’t get punctures very often at all anymore, and a lot of them can be fixed by taking a small chunk of parachord and plugging the hole with the reamer on a multi tool. Just some food for thought. Your tires and rims are already tubeless ready so all you’d need are the valve stems and sealant.
A larger padded seat goes a long way in comfort and won’t weigh much more than your uncomfortable seat in the video. Also, you can lighten up your box by drilling drain holes in it to make up the difference of the new seat. My $0.02.
i want to say, ive always liked the idea of bike hunting. im a cyclist and i go on nice night rides in the forest (no lights on my bike at all,) I say you guys should rethink bikes, all the suspension and extra parts is noisy, instead of mountain bikes you guys should opt for gravel bikes with less parts, these make less noise by far. my night rides are ultra silent so i can casually sneak up on animals lol
The bike works great! I did end up removing the box of the rear and just added a commuter bag to the rear rack. I have killed and packed out several deer while using the bike. I just wear my pack going in and coming out. I will say that riding a bike with a pack weighing close to 70lbs is not fun and a little painful. Hope this helps
That’s a loaded question lol. It really depends on where m hunting. Where I believe the bike shines is on gated access roads or trails. Terrain and conditions can play a key factor if I’m taking the bike or not. If the terrain is steep or muddy I’m leaving the bike home. Thanks for watching, hope this helps.
Thanks for watching. I didn’t harvest anything while using the bike this year. However when I do I will have to quarter the deer and pack it out “I always keep game bags in my pack”. Once I get back to the bike I will strap part of the meat on the bike rack and keep the rest in the pack. I haven’t actually done it but in theory it should work.
I was going to suggest looking into converting your bike to electric. I saw another comment about ebikes and you said it was illegal in your state. Do they have a maximum watts or is it just illegal period? That’s kinda frustrating. I need to look at my state before converting my bike but just watched a video on it and there is not that much to it. Much better than spending 5k on quietkat
For some reason the link in the description is no longer valid, "outdated model" I guess. I am attaching 2 links to 2 new models they have. One is 1300 lumens and one is 700 lumens. The one I showcase in the video is 800 lumens. Packing the deer out is ez and works well. Here's how. Gut the deer. Slide bike seat into body cavity just forward of the hindquarters, pull the front legs and head over the handle bars and strap deer down at both ends. Then you just walk beside the bike rolling your deer out. Used this method several times in the Western Piedmont Hunt unit, Sumter Forest, S.C. This was probably about 25 yrs ago when I was in my hunting youth with plenty of energy! Enjoy your videos!

Cool. Post a picture!
I do this with my trek stache. Will be going to Colorado for elk this year with it too.
The Stache is one sweet ride. Wish you the best of luck on your adventure.

I run tubeless as well, I didn’t mention it in this video because not al rims are tubeless capable. Thanks for watching.
Sweet. I appreciate it and will definitely look it up. TY and good luck! Archery season is so close.

Great review of products! Thanks

Great video. Awesome to use your bike to get away from some hunting pressure.
Thanks for watching. Yes I can cover a lot of ground quick and quietly with my bike in most scenarios.
I was wondering what cargo rack you used.
Treks brand bontrager
@@SCOutdoorsmanthanks for the reply
Any news updates on this bike? How do you like it now? What would you do differently

Great video. What brand pack you running? Looks like a good setup for saddle hunting
Thanks for watching! I’m actually in the middle of editing my one year review video of my Eberlestock X2 pack. Excellent pack!

How do you like it overall vs walking into areas?

I do the same government land but what do you do when you get to harvest??

Great rack mod. Best I’ve seen on the tube. Pack sucks, try hauling 80lbs of meat out with it

Thanks for the information!!
I'd be interested to see how you pack a deer out on it
Me too!!!! I’m pretty sure I have it figured out. I haven’t had the opportunity for a test run yet.
@@SCOutdoorsman awesome. Hope you'll do a follow up. I'm looking to do something, love to see what you come up with

Great ideas. Thank you !!
How far do you park your bike from the stand youre hunting in?
At least 100yds to 150yds away. In this video I was hunting about 500yds away from my bike
