Envisaged to be a multifaceted sports venue, the proposed Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sports Enclave would effectuate the long-term needs of the city, state, and nation by providing the infrastructure for hosting national and international sporting events. The entire facility will be developed as per international standards and with the highest sustainability principles. The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sports territorial dominion can produce an ethereal identity for the city and benchmark internationally in times to come.

The Sports Enclave will have the following key Sporting Venues and facilities. These facilities will be over and above Cricket and other facilities housed in the Cricket stadium:
- 50,000-seat Athletics Stadium (with 400m standard track) for track & field and football
- 10-12,000-seat Indoor Arena for multiple spectator sports
- 350,000 - 400,000 square feet Indoor Sports Center with flexible halls and support space for multiple sports
- 100,000 - 120,000 square feet Indoor Aquatics Center (with 50m x 25m indoor and outdoor pools)
- 15,000-seat Field Hockey Stadium
- Multi-sport Arenas and Fields of 5,000-seat capacity each
- Boating Center for Water Sports
- And many other Indoor and Outdoor sports (Badminton, Volleyball, Table Tennis, etc.)
- Athlete village with about 3,000 Apartments (total 12,500 Beds) of 2,3,4 bedrooms for visiting athletes.
- Administrative and Media offices, Hotels, Retail, Amenities, and food courts.
- Parking for about 7,500 Cars and 15,000 2-Wheelers (Additional parking for 3,000 Cars and 10,000 2-Wheelers has already been built in newly developed Cricket Stadium, that will also be used during events)
