Thank you, that is very beautifully spoken, and straight from the heart!

I think his last point is the most profound and disturbing to me. After seeing the conditions and what I only can be certain is evil of slaughterhouses, to disregard the choice to be free from supporting these atrocities is really something that only a less than decent human can do. Yet i see it all the time.

There's no excuse for cannibalizing animals, especially by so-called spiritual teachers.

1.2 millions Tibetans died under Chinese occupation but people like you chose to close your eyes, ears to trade with Chinese.

One thing that, as an engineer, keeps me wondering is: why only focus on food? Why don't you investigate ALL your products and services, every single material, every process of the material, every material and process of the equipment that processed the material and so on - how many animals were killed? How many animals were killed growing vegetables? How many animals were killed building the buildings you use and live in? And so on and so forth? This makes no sense to me.

Humans are born omnivorous creatures. Therefore i believe its alright to eat meat. Besides meat is a very good source of proteins, vitamins, minerals and saturated and unsaturated fatty acids, which vegetables do not contain. As a monk, one should not kill other animals, but its ok to eat meat which can be bought from the market. Killing for fun may be bad, but killing for feeding people is alright, its not against our nature. But those animals when alive should be treated with love. And I don´t think Buddha ever said do not eat meat. In fact there are several accounts where Buddha himself is depicted to have eaten meat...
