On 2 October 2015 Geshe Lhakdor, director of the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives, gave a talk at the Moscow State Institute for International Relations (MGIMO) for the students of the master degree program “Regional Politics and Economics” (“International regional studies” course). Geshe Lhakdor gave an account of the present state of Tibetan Buddhism, education in the Tibetan monasteries, and dialogue between Buddhist and Western science, initiated by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The talk was followed by a Q&A session. The visit of Geshe Lhakdor in Russia was organized by the Save Tibet Foundation (Moscow). The organizers are grateful to Ven. Lobsang Tenpa for arranging this meeting.
