Another great video. I hope you do restore the chassis. I've got to do something similar - only a quarter for me though! I'm trying to do it without having a square box section cobbled onto mine!

Looks like whoever bobtailed the chassis was either a professional fabricator or a skilled amateur. It's only box section and steel plate but its very neat and the welding is to a far better standard than the pigeon shit elsewhere on the vehicle. Maybe someone got fed up with the project and sold it on or the numpty that did the bodywork at least had enough sense to know his limitations. Have you considered replacing the complete body outriggers rather than patching/plating - when you find a donor vehicle for the chassis parts it may have decent outriggers - easier and neater than patching up what's currently there? Will the chassis be galvanised once repaired?
Have you considered doing discreet "upgrades" to the vehicle that wouldn't obviously change it's appearance - heated screen, heated seats, better headlights and audio - Classic Parts do a retro head unit for an extortionate amount of money. I seem to remember a number of years ago a company did similar with the Jag XJS - at the end of the process you still had what looked like an XJS but with better brakes and none of the issues of the factory cars such as overheating. Landrover Special Vehicles seemed to do well with the V8 Defender at £150k a go for what was essentially a second hand Defender with a V8 and gearbox dropped in and a tarted up interior. It'll no doubt have all the issues of water leaks and corrosion that most Defenders suffer from once a few years have passed, only with the added headache of electrical gremlins with all that technology.
Just a few thoughts for the "pot" - possibly not something appropriate for a completely original vehicle like some of the others you've got.
    Keep em' coming!

Just an idea, i stumbled on an old photo in a book, 1980 Schuler (overfinch) range rover classic, fitted with a 5.3L Jag v12. The front end was lengthened (at a guess by around 15 inches) to accommodate it. looks odd but its performance was allegedly exhilarating. But they did have the Schuler automatic gearbox though. I will send you the pic if you are interested.
