How Gopal bans could be the first king of Nepal ? Gopal n Nag dynesties were Indians -- residents of present Bihar n U P .Gopall or Gowala dynasty was populous in Mahabharata related to Sri Krishna .But in Ramayan period also , related to Ram ,there were kings in Nepal ,such as Jonak ,f/o Sits .Ramayana period is older than Mahabharata period , so I don't admit Go pal bans to be first king of Nepal .

Gopal were in nepal valley first according to gopala vamshavali, kiranti are also mentioned in the vamshavali coming much later than the gopala but if u want to discredit the vamshavali then there is no outside evidence for either a gopala or kirant rule in nepal Valley.

In many historical books there is written Dharmakar or Bhuktaman was the first king of Nepal and some says Yalamber but there is still dispute .In Mahabharata there Yalamber and his Kirats people took part in Mahabharata. Some sources says that Yalambar was also known as Barbareek (son of Ghatotkach) .In india Barbareek is worship as Khatushyam and in Nepal some people say that Yalamber is worship as Aakash Bhairab.
All these are correct or not .Noone have the exact evidence.So,many people have their own belief in themselves.

@Jim Carrey yeah today Lord Shiva has become also a Hindu God. But the origin of Lord Shiva starts with the Kiratis. This is why you find abode/home of Lord Shiva in the Mt. Kailash Himalayas and not in the plains of India.
It's already been confirmed with so many historians and scholars how Kirati God Paruhang was adopted into Hindu culture by the Aryan people. Paruhang was probably the first cultural and religious icon taken into Hindu culture. Once Paruhang felled into Hindu culture, he was Hindunized by the Aryan by renaming him with the Sanskrit name Shiva. They created so many myths and stories about him.
Other Kirati religious that felled into Hinduism was Goddess Mukkumlung. She was too given Sanksrit name and today she is well known as Pathivara Devi.

It is now known that Lord Shiva was originally the God of Kirat people from the Himalayas regions.
It is well known now that Kirati God Lord Paruhang was adopted by the Aryan people. When the Aryan people accepted Lord Paruhang and adopted him into Hindu culture, they gave him Sanskrit's name which is known by Shiva and Rudra.
Eventually, Lord Paruhang(now Lord Shiva) became part of modern-day Hindu culture and symbol.
If you look at Lord Shiva's photo, he is carrying a buffalo horn in his waist. To the Hindus, anything that is associated with buffalo is a sin but Kirat enjoys buffalo meat. And at the start of their sakela festival, the Kiratis blow the buffalo horn whereas brahmin blows sankha.
Lord Shiva also wears the skin of animal and lives in the Himalaya which denotes that he is a good hunter and the Himalaya hunter are non-other than Kirat.
There is numerous evidence that Lord Shiva was the non-Aryan god of Hindu and Parvati was a Kirati girl. Even the Mahabharat describes that Lord Shiva was Kirat god.
All Kirati adivasi janajatis must only worship Kirateshwar paruhang who is known as Shiva today.

Early Kirat settlements emerged around mother goddesses and Bhairav temples. This probably was also Kirat defenses on hilltops such as Phulchoki, Nagarjun, Champa Devi, Nagarkot gap, Nuwakot etc..
The Kirat towns on hilltops were referred to as pringgas eg. Pharping, Khopring (Bhaktapur) and dula suffix meant settlements on slopes: Kupondol (Newari term dol for dula).
