    With the new set coming out with more frogs. I'm curious to see how this deck improves.

    I would suggest putting ley Line of anticipation and Alchemist's Refuge, so that we have all time access to our cards in exile

      Good suggestions - being able to cast at flash speed is always a powerful ability to have access to!

    Slogurk is also a very good add, a 1UG 3/3 with trample that gets a +1/+1 counter. I also went in a slightly different direction for my deck where I focused on land drops and playing as many lands as possible while still self milling using cheap expendable frogs to be able to play one of a few creatures whose power and toughness are equal to the number of lands I have ending with a card that turns all of my creatures into said big creature as a kill shot like Augmenter Pugilist (back side) or infinite reflection. With enough creature tokens, I've dealt as much as 500 damage in a go.

      @GrazzetMTG  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sounds like a good alternate take, since Grolnok will definitely get us more than enough lands to make use of lands matter payoffs, which makes additional and drop ramp sources even better. Good suggestion!

    There is a lot of creature copy effects in blue green that you can use and still be in budget. Even copying your commander can be good. Sure it will die but you still get the effects.

    • @GrazzetMTG
      @GrazzetMTG  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can see this working nicely by focusing on cloning effects to get even more frogs onboard or even copies of our commander - especially on a higher budget with cards like Sakashima of a Thousand Faces and other cards that break the legendary rule to get permanent copies of Grolnok onboard. Good suggestion!

    Hey mate, awesome video! I‘m looking to build a frog based commander deck (doesnt need to be tribal, i really like the self mill idea!) do you have any additional cards you would put 2 years after releasing this video?
    Cheers and thanks for the awesome videos:)

    Do flashback cards have value in this deck? since they are not permanents, you wont be able to put a croak counter on it correct?

    • @GrazzetMTG
      @GrazzetMTG  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Flashback cards certainly have value, as Grolnok only exiles permanents - so we can get further value from our flashback cards as we mill them away (which is why this build has a handful of them).

    The Frogge's Spawn Demandeth Content!
    Lovecraft jokes aside, amazing cutrate episode as always!
    My vote goes to Geralf, because he and his sister pretty much go hand in hand nowadays, while Torrens is a bit too simple, and Odric is a bit too much of a travesty (holy shit, did they screw him up...)
    Day 166 of waiting for Grazzet's face reveal. What are your thoughts on the new Kamigawa set? I myself am feeling exhaustion out of all the MTG Content WotC has been throwing at us.

      Regarding Kamigawa, I'm quite excited about it personally. The art looks gorgeous on those basic lands and some of the spoilers so far have been intriguing. While I can see there being a overload of content form WotC - It doesn't bother me too much since I'm doing content and have to stay on top of this anyway to incorporate it into future builds. Hopefully this set brings us some good legendries to build around too, which is what I'm most hyped for.

    Hi - I'm newish to MTG, I played from 4th edition to visions and now. I would like to build a standard deck around this guy, but I believe the win conditions here aren't legal. Any recommendations/links you'd recommend I'd read up on? Thanks!

    • @GrazzetMTG
      @GrazzetMTG  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sadly, I'm not playing a whole lot of standard these days - but I would recommend looking up builds on www.mtggoldfish.com/metagame/standard#paper for some inspiration - though I do not think there currently is a market for Grolnok in standard sadly.
