Some people think that a specialist is only supposed to treat a specific problem. Some specialists think that, too. I'm so glad that you take the time to explain how our overall health affects specific conditions. I have been meditating for a few months and it has definitely affected my health in a positive way! The returns on this small investment have been enormous!

So true! The more I listen to my patients, I the more I learn about these conditions. The human body is extremely complex and everything is connected together so it makes sense that treatment needs to be approached from many different angles.

Thank you for talking about this and educating us all! The pain is nothing I’ve ever experienced in my entire life! At first I thought it was hemorrhoids but the pain was like glass coming out of my butt while having a BM and excruciating pain for 4-5 hours after. Absolutely incredible! Nothing I’ve ever experienced in my 52 hrs of life

Hi doc.. you are soo right that stress causes all the problem. I have always been a person with good diet and being an indian we eat a complete plate with fiber, carbs, protein, and vitamins and probiotics in our diet daily. I keep myself hydrated by drinking 4liters of water ecery day.. i have been doing yoga since almoat 9 years now.. and have even droped 30kgs of my post pregnancy weight.. in all the healthy way poasible..
But life took a toll on me as my family life went uncontroable. I kept myself positve and motivated tried managing everything in the best way possible.. i was laughing, having fun with friends spending time with mh kids and what not.. i didnt think that dispite of doing all this my mind did not took the good part my body was stressed from inside and even after doing so much wonderful with my body and mind.. i got constipated for month (on and off) i never thought it will give me so much pain .. i ended up have one painful stool one day and today its been 6 months the pain does nit go away.. havr been diagnosed with fissure currently my doc prescribed my diltizem i hope things get better... i anal sprinter is too tight and it gives spasm like anything.
I have been managing my stress since long.. but sometime we dont realise that our body is stressing from inside nomatter what we try. I am also a very spritual person by birth.. so i believe there is a reason for everything in life to happen. I hope i can cope up with this situation gracefully and come out of it.
That you doc you are such a relief to soo many around suffering fro this pain... prayers for all of us. 🙏 i hope everyone gets well soon.

Hey everyone, so I've seen some interest in my present situation haha. I'm doing great! I began to be really careful with my diet, I drank lots of water and I took a stool softener every day for 2 months. I stopped bleeding after a few days, the pain went away after like 2 weeks, by week 4 or 5 I was healed. I live a completely normal life now, I don't worry about anything other than common sense good eating habits, lots of water and that's it.

Thanks, Doc really superb information as I'm probably suffering from stress, anxiety, or depression.. and it's actually leading to all the things you have mentioned. Neck strain, numbness, anal fissure, left abdomen pain, back pain even tinnitus Distress.. you name it.. and after all the CTs Ultra, x-rays etc.. you name all the reports are fine. Seen a few doctors and always feel that maybe some doctor will actually say or tell me hey this is what is wrong with you.. but all the reports are fine (figures crossed). Hi Dr. Chung thank you so much for these amazing videos they are perfect! Questions: 1. what do you think about CBD oil in relaxation/treatment of anal fissures 2. could you put a link to all these anal fissure video series in your text above so they are easy to find? 3. Please keep this up! Your attitude is so encouraging, and the breathing and relaxation and positive attitude really does help in this particular issue! All the data ive seen suggests anal fissures reccur, CCB are only marginally better than placebo, and studies make no mention of the role of stress and relaxation in treatment. I am a PGY3 family medicine resident and aside from having an anal fissure myself during interview season while I look for job, you are helping me teach patients!! I found you on youtube when I was trying to understand what the heck a sitz bath was, and despite asking all the doctors around I didnt get an answer I just got awkward looks, it was great to finally have an answer and actual details.

I have fissure history for about 13 years, this time has been staying with me for 5 weeks of blood and pain and horror of doing number 2😢 I went to a colorectal surgeon who prescribed nefidipine .2%. I understand this is going to relax the sphincter muscle and it is a process; but if it is going to bleed everyday, how is it going to heal at all?
