    My 06 Mazda 3 makes a similar sound like that only on acceleration or super steady Rpms. While driving (3-4K) especially in 1st and 2nd gear but not this bad and if it’s not driving it doesn’t do it I’m seeing a lot of ppl say it’s the mounts too 🤔 trying to figure this out before I order a part I don’t need lol

      Fluid motor mount is ez and worth it if the fluid is gone. Definately decreases vibration at idle. Mazda and Ford designed the mount to be great with the fluid but still functional if it leaks out. Oh yea, dude, the dogbone torque mount goes on these too and people run them no rubber lol. Check it out on your mazda if the engine runs nice but shaking around a bit.

    Removed the Aircon belt and run the engine. If the noise disappear then it was the AC clutch bearing.

    Maybe water pump.. Timing chain sounds more slow like a chain ratlling together.

    That's a loud ass bearing. Crazy

    • @daves2433
      @daves2433 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had mine go, it was the bearing cage that fell apart on the idler of the ac compressor. This caused the pulley to hit against the magnetic coil for the clutch. Ac on and the noise went away cause it was then using the compressor to stay centered.

    I know you fixed it...but did this noise only happen on cold starts or when the ac was on??

      I have a Mazda 6 and my timing belt only slaps for a second right when I cold start it. I guess it’s like a slow tensioner or something but I’m not sure

    Sounds like the water pump or the pulley bolts on the pump have gotten loose

    I'm here trying to make sure its my ac compressor. My car sounds like this but the AC still works. I had 2 mechanics tell me its the AC compressor. I really don't want to buy a compressor if its only the belt.

    • @heribertodejesusleiva4649
      @heribertodejesusleiva4649 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cinnamon VSG Diva if the belt is stretched or old will make a chirping noise, like having a bunch of little birds inside the hood, A/C compressors pulleys have bearings inside which need to have grease, when the grease is not there anymore the metal bearings don't have lubrication and also the grease keeps them from jumping everywhere, that is the result of not having lubrication, like an old gate. Check if you can find a place where they rebuilt starters, etc. Otherwise the mechanic will go the easy way which is put a new one (most likely rebuilt) as even from auto zone or any parts store that's what they sell, then this is why they ask for the core aka the old part, because they will repair it, paint it and put it on the inventory for the next customer.

    • @kwbalance108

      @@iscariotmadeo4672 Yeah, the belt is attached to the crankshaft so the compressor pulley is always moving when the engine is on.
