D.I.Y. Travel Trailer Build Walk Around

James Ferguson of XMTG Firearms Training Academy gives a quick walk around of their home-made travel trailer. This off-road travel trailer is made to go anywhere a truck can go. The Living quarters are 12 foot long by 6 foot 6 inches wide. Just because you are out in nature does not mean you have to rough it. This trailer has everything you need to camp in comfort!

Great to see the whole build!!! If you did it again would you still build the pop up? Or just build it that height? Vs cost and engineering, time, issues associated with motors, etc?

Since I have towed it to Colorado, and it made my fuel economy as bad as if I was towing my cargo trailer, I would build it to the height I wanted with maybe more of a taper at the front. Engineering the roof raise was the hardest part.
Weight is right at 3,000 pounds. Its heavier than I planned. I am pushing the limits of the axels. I will probably upgrade the axels to the Timbren 5k axels later this year.
