Thanks for following along !! Ive still got about 4 weeks until finished. Ive got move and setup tank. Ive gotta make sump and plumb the tank. Ive gotta finish top bracing and place lids and lighting. Ive got all scape and fish to put in still. I did a semi detailed series of my 540g build and my 1210g system build
From your explanation of how you’re going to brace the tank I don’t think it’s going anywhere. Should be extremely sturdy.. it’s funny you said about glass bowing I remember a building that was built in Japan. The glass panels was 29 feet tall, and they bowed an exploded in a high storm.
I am currently in the planning stage of a 55x40x40 tank build. This is an in wall aquarium with the tank being in a sump room on a concrete floor. Space is not a big issue. I planned to 2x4 stud walls for the tank and 1" acrylic for the front glass. Do you see any issues I should be concerned about? Thank you in advance
Thats an interesting size. The 1" acrylic should be adequate for that height. Are you planning on keeping a tall stocking, like Angels or Discus, or going salt ? I would like to see a design plan for your build. You seem to have strength as a focus..
Can't help but hear Charlie sheen in your voice. Great build mate
Tigers Blood !
Now that your series is finished, I’m going to go watch them all. I’ve been waiting to watch them.
