    That last cut through 11mm pine was really clean. Huge potential there

    very tempting to upgrade to this on my Aufero2

    I bought direct from AE for $170 with free shipping for the complete upgrade (LU2-10A module, board, power supply, spare lens, mounting hardware) saved myself $120!.
    Either I got lucky and they messed up the order or there are places out there cheaper!
    Best upgrade for a standard LM2.

      Thanks for your comment! I hadn’t ventured down the path of engraving glass at this stage, however have seen other people using this technique… unfortunately I don’t have a specific video except doing a basic search on TH-cam. All the best with your creative journey.

    Hello , brillant video!
    is it possible for you to tell me the exact dimensions of this laser head? (ORTUR LU2-10A)? does it also have the same 40x40mm as LU2-4-SF? I ask because I am thinking of upgrading my machine and I have developed an accessory which fits already perfectly the LU2-4-SF laser module and it would be great to know if this 10A has the same size, many thanks in advance

    Hi everybody. I replaced my laser head unit to a new LU2-10A laser head unit and connected it to my laser device, model OLM2PRO S2. I uploaded a file using the LIGHTBURN software and... the laser does not engrave. I've attached a video.
    Does anyone have an idea what to do? I would appreciate any suggestion.

      Thanks for your comment and sorry to hear about the laser head. Unfortunately I can’t see a video attached… I would jump onto one of the ortur Facebook pages and ask there… sounds like you aren’t getting sufficient power to the laser module!

    how can i engrave metal? I already tried it and it can´t

    • @NEWTechCreative
      @NEWTechCreative  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question! There are two types of engraving metal that is possible with a diode laser. First technique you can engrave ‘anodized’ metal where the laser removes the top layer of the paint leaving metal or other layers exposed. Second technique a you can apply heat to stainless steel surfaces and changes color - depending on your power and speed settings you can achieve variations of colors on stainless steel. I’m not aware of other ways to use diode lasers to engrave metal.

    I ordered one of these - excited to give it a try! My current laser is a 3.7w - this one looks way more powerful! Question - what do you use for the forced air? I'm looking at some pumps meant for aquariums, with airflow up to 60 LPM. The specs for the laser call for 40 LPM, but I've never had a laser that requires forced air, so I'm not sure what to use, and if more or less is better. Any tips?

      @NEWTechCreative  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wonderful to hear!! You will see a huge difference from your current laser module. I’m just using a small aquarium air pump and seems to be sufficient. To be honest, you can run the module without air assist and can cut very well, however on those deeper cuts you need to move the smoke and debris quickly and would suggest a 40Lpm pump would be more than sufficient. Due to the narrow tubes, anything above 40LPM would struggle to product enough pressure to force through the tube and would be wasted.

    The video title says LU2-10A, but the link in the description is to the LU2-4SF. The module in the video looks like the LU2-4LF. I don't see an LU2-10A on the Sinis website. What is the actual model number of the laser in the video, and where can I buy it? Thanks!

    hello miles! could you tell me your impression if you would have to compare the previous neje module and this one? are you fitting it on your queenbee?

    • @NEWTechCreative
      @NEWTechCreative  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great to hear from you again! I haven’t thought about adding to my workbee to be honest!! However it would be a reasonably simple addition. If I didn’t have the Aufero laser machines I would without a doubt upgrade to Aufero/Ortur’s 10W module on the workbee. In comparison this module is twice as powerful than the 30w NEJE laser module as the NEJE only has one 5.5w diode and this Aufero 10w has two 5.5w diodes… keep in mind that thr NEJE is 12volts and the Aufero modules are 24volts. 👍👍

      @akka4751 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@NEWTechCreative great to know! the only problem would be that the workbee will run much much slower than aufero laser machine, maybe 5000mm/min instead of the declared ortur master 3 20000mm/min....did you buy the master 3?

    • @NEWTechCreative
      @NEWTechCreative  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes this is very true!! I can comfortably engrave at 8,500mm/min on the Aufero laser 2 machines so you would have to turn down the power for engraving in the queenbee. I only have the Aufero laser machines… the laser 2 runs at 15,000 max!!

      No sorry! It can change stainless steel color and etch anodized surfaces! Great for engraving. You will need to look into fiber lasers for metal cutting.
